Good premium collection dishonest claims processing
I have a new puppy and purchased wellness and illness coverage. I submitted my itemized invoice and receipt. Close to a month went by and they sent me a letter telling me they couldn’t process my claim because they needed a detailed invoice and receipt. What the heck is going on? They are really good at collecting premiums but seem to be lacking in the claims processing area. I am considering canceling this coverage because if that’s the way they play When are good faith claim is submitted. There’s something seriously wrong.

Reliable, Helpful The Best
I have had only wonderful experiences with Trupanion Insurance. My niece is a Veterinarian and she recommended it. It has been a great experience, they have answered all my questions and were very helpful when Tucker tore his ACL and had to have surgery. Having the insurance and knowing I would have help paying the bills for his surgery helped make the decision to have the procedure less stressful. Filing the claims for his bills was easy and they reimbursed me quickly for 90% of the cost after the deductible was reached. I would recommend this insurance everyone who has a pet. NO BASIS DENIAL!!!
Trupanion made our Vet send records multiple times to several different claims numbers, one for each invoice for same condition!. Trupanion denied asthma claim on pre-existing basis because one prior to coverage visit mentioned gagging with no relation to asthma or anything else. Cats gag all the time for multiple reasons. She was only recently diagnosed with asthma It is being appealed. If Trupanion does not accept, we will drop coverage.

great interaction & great service
the guy i was on the phone with, i believe his name was peter, was super nice & really say to talk too. overall it was one of the best business phone calls i’ve made. normally the people on the other line are pretty dull but peter was super friendly & really easy to talk to. he helped me out with setting up the right plan & didn’t complain when i couldn’t find my address. haha ya it was a great call & i recommend this insurance to any new pet owners because it covers vaccinations & neutering!!
