Peace of Mind
It’s emotionally disturbing enough if/when my dog gets sick, has an emergency or need follow up vaccinations but knowing that I have Healthy Paws Insurance makes it so much calming that my claim will be settled in one day.

Trupanion truly cares about your fur babies!
My 10 year old Corgi, Reina, has developed some senior dog issues. She’s been to the vet a number of times recently for tests and therapies and Trupanion has come through for us again. An ongoing back and neck issue has continued coverage for medicine and therapies, and her current liver and uterine issues were covered after our deductible was satisfied. I have no fear that I’ll be able to care for Reina well into old age!

We are newer to pet insurance so the coverage seems to compare well with other pet insurance offerings that I have come across. I haven't done much research into other offerings since a friend recommended Embrace to us, so to be honest I am unsure if there is better coverage our there. The App user experience has improved over time, as it was a bit difficult to navigate and file a claim when I initially signed our dog up for coverage (June 2020). Since then it's now an easy screenshot of our invoice and a submission that takes less than 5 minutes. I don't currently have plans to make any changes, but may next year depending on premium per month cost.

First off
First off. My pets and I haven't done anything yet with the insurance to warrant a review. However, the purchasing portion went smoothly. Other than that...I have yet to experience real issues such as claims. Personally. I think you're asking for a review too early in the "game". Wait till a claim is process. Its also annoying getting three to four emails reminding us to give a review. Not 😎

This insurance is a joke and refused to pay for my dogs cancer treatment and surgery after repeated appeals with appropriate documentation from my veterinarian to back up the fact that the decision was wrong. They keep claiming that polydipsia (increased thirst) that she developed after dental surgery is the only preexisting condition she had, which has since resolved and therefore resulting in refusal to cover treatment. Would not recommend to anyone.

I'm very pleased with my experience! I have to admit I was skeptical about insuring my cats at all as they're usually pretty low maintence after their kitten phase. I've also heard of so many insurance companies 'claiming' to cover but then not paying out. Boy am I glad I listened to my gut when choosing Healthy Paws!! The plan itself is definitely affordable every month and with a low annual deductible, 90% coverage and no caps or incident limits, it's been worth every penny! One of our fur babies is not even two and became really ill with what seemed to be a bacterial infection with unknown origin. Our vet took care of him and Healthy Paws took care of us! Service was realtively swift and when I had to call in with questions they were helpful and quick to answer. The follow up to check in on how our cat was doing even after they settled the claim was very sweet and shows how stellar their customer service really is!
