Years agoI learned the hard way by not listened to my vet about a new pet medical insurance called Trupanion.
Years ago,I learned the hard way by not listened to my vet about a new pet medical insurance called Trupanion. I emptied an entire ($15,000) savings account trying to help my beautiful British Shorthair boy with anemia. Later I learned more about alternative medicine and how that could help another cat with disautotonmia an autonomic malfunction of the digestive system. Trupanion covered Frosty for over $29,000. My present 7 year old American Shorthair male Is receiving HBOT (Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy) for Pancreatitis and IBD(constipation) in addition to his increasing heart murmur because I decided to purchase every coverage Trupanion offers. (Total HOBT for 2 days is $425 every week) My cat is the first in Washington state to receive this HBOT treatment. HBOT is a very humane effective treatment that allows Henry to live his life in addition to specific medications as deserving pain free family member as possible. Literally this has given Henry his life back. To afford most of his July 2021 ER visits alone (IBD-C) or his twice annual echocardiograms and heart meds would cause most people to euthanize their pet. Many people spend nearly as much or more on coffee in one month as I spend on a tremendous medical policy for my cat. Being in an area with my exceptionally educated vets and referral specialists coupled with Trupanion means my cat has a chance to live and be helped at any time without limitation. I love this animal. I choose to care for him as I choose only a Level I trauma center for my own medical needs. Having my cat run, happily play, eat without vomiting, use his litter box without crying or having to endure several enemas for IBD(C) and have tremendously reduced Pancreatic pain is priceless. Also receiving echo- cardiograms for several years is priceless for his cardiac situation. One cannot forecast human or animal problems. I choose to protect my pet as I do myself. My 7 year old boy is worth much more than a cup of coffee a day. I live in a retirement community. People see me taking Henry to treatment sometimes several times a week. People ask me about expense. I tell them about Henry and of my female with disautonmia and what Trupanion has paid for her treatment. I give them Trupanion's name, they do the research, and more often than not I receive an email shortly thereafter saying they have insured their pet with Trupanion. It is more important to cover serious problems than to get a few dollars off maintenance with long term limitations on more serious or chronic problems. I tell them what Henry's compounded heart meds cost a month and what Trupanion covers without exception for life, no cut off coverage value. Most have not heard about Trupanion and are amazed to read your website. Having a pet without Trupanion is equivalent to driving without insurance.

When you pay thousands in monthly premiums then only get covered for 500 for a situation that cost you close to 3000 on two sep trips sufficed to say you wonder what exactly the point is to you.

I meAn, 48 month the last 4 months in TN, 129 monthly when I lived in NJ for over two years, is what I’ve paid for you to cover 500 the first time I need you. Please tell me why wouldn’t I just pay the 501 once rather than pay you monthly equaling out to about 8 times that. Just saying
