Read the fine prints above potential policy coverage change
Please be careful with PetSecure regarding its insurance plan and coverage limitations. Plan and coverage details can change pretty unnoticeably without your consensus and agreement. We enrolled with PetSecure under the vet referral program for our large breed dog back in 2020. I have to give credits to PetScure related to its free trial period, claim process method, and the general coverage range of its plans. However, there are coverage limitations underneath its plans and not advertised anywhere. Moreover, these coverage limitations, and in fact, the policy coverage percentage could change based on the so-called company's "independent" review. To put a solid example, our dog was feeling a bit off (not willing to eat/drink for 2 days), and we visited our regular vet for a quick exam. The result was non-conclusive with a strong suspicion of hot weather/climate, and our dog recovered 2 days after the vet visit without any prescribed meds. Filed the claim with PetSecure, and then denied as the event was not an accident nor illness.... Moreover, at the end of 2021, we received a letter from PetSecure indicating our coverage will change from 80% to 50% in 2022, which is a 30% reduction in co-pay amount including the $200 deductible. Such that, previous a bill total of $250 will be able to satisfy each year's $200 deductible requirement, now will require a $400 bill total amount. Meanwhile, the main website still advertises 80% plan coverage....right, this is not a false advertisement for sure.... Anyway, one short conclusion, stay away from PetSeucre, and actually any majority of pet insurance providers if you have a healthy dog. Put away some money for special event of accident or major illness.

Sent this feedback to the company
Sent this feedback to the company. Clearly they didn’t read my email and asked me to post it on this forum. Your wish is my command. I just wanted to thank your company for saving me money. I registered my dog for breeding just before he rebroke his leg. I didn’t even know I was getting insurance with the registration until after his ER trip. I called and they said wait until I was done with getting his second opinion and procedures for his leg. Thankfully I was able to file my claim within your 30 day free insurance time. Your company has shown me that continuing coverage for my dog would only waste my money as you covered absolutely nothing. Comments on reply: Kaylagh, He broken the same leg for a second time but you only reached out to the er veterinarian and not his normal veterinarian who I clearly stated I received a second opinion from and preformed his surgery required. Additionally your company ASKED me to post my review on my experience with your company on this website because you didn’t actually read my email to you. I’m sorry your company doesn’t like my honest review. It won’t change my opinion about your company’s work ethics. If we were talking about a human rebraking their leg their insurance would cover it.

Embrace has kept all their promises…
Embrace has kept all their promises since signing up. They cover more than any other pet insurance plan I have researched. I’m always paid within 2 weeks (though I wish it was sooner, but I can’t be too picky). They have an easy claim submission process online and anytime I have had a question they always get back to me within 24 hours. They seem very organized. Don’t forget to upload all of your pets records in the beginning pre certification period and followup with them if you have pending claims. They will look into it for you and expedite things.

They don’t cover anything near what the vet charges. I’m paying $400+ a year to save $40?? I will probably be canceling soon.
