Friendly and easy to used claims
Trupanion has an excellent team every single time I summited a claim is done in less than 24 hrs. I am very please with the service provided for Toby”s claim he is getting older and with that he has developed unexpected medical issues and Trupanion has been wonderful to have to cover his medical bills. Best decision to have this insurance. Get it when your pets are puppy.. Thank you Trupanion!!!

No hassle claims.
Our 11-year-old Jack Russell Terrier (Buddy) came down with acute Peritonitis. It came on suddenly and he was extremely sick. He had to spend two nights in the hospital Iv’s, meds, etc. Two weeks later he had another episode not as sever. Healthy Paws claims process is so easy all we had to do is email the itemized invoice from the provider to Healthy Paws Claims that was it. We received emails to confirm they received our claim and were issued a claim number. They informed us of each stage of claim process. The bottom line is within 7 working days we received over $4,000.00 in reimbursements. In addition, they sent out letters to check on buddy’s progress so we give them 5 Stars!

I've been with Trupanion for 11yrs now. Every time I have issues, they've been always very helpful with my pet's health questions and claims. They also really care about your pets like it's their own. Thank you Trupanion for your great customer service!!!

I am not one to ever run to social media but feel this is truly unjust and i will be cancelling this policy. My puppy attended the vet hospital on Feb10/2021 received a vaccine and the vet completed the paperwork and the puppy was deemed to have passed the standard puppy exam with only noticeable malocclusion, an under bite common in Shih-Tzu breeds. After passing her exam, I subsequently, I adopted her on the same date. On Feb21/2021 I enrolled Bandit in Trupanion as my daughter has been a long time client of yours for her two pets and recommended it. Bandit was doing very well like any other puppy and I had no way of knowing any health issues and the vet that examined her also did not have any reason to suspect any health issues. On March 3rd/2021, I took Bandit to the vet as she had vomited a lot through the night. On March 4th, the vet took x-rays and discovered that Bandit has Megaesophagus. Thankfully she is doing well, as I have built a special feeding chair "Bailey Chair" and there's a 25 to 50% chance she will grow out of this since she is a puppy. Either way she is a thriving growing puppy and may not need any further medical treatment for this condition. Megaesophagus is very manageable if you feed them properly with due care for vertical position during and post meal. Trupanion denied the claim and any future medical treatment deemed to be associated with this condition or any complications citing the waiting period. I appealed the claim denial as I would like to have this filed as coverable in the event she ever needs more medical treatment in the future. The claim was denied. This is truly unfair, as this is a puppy and no one would ever have known of any pre-existing condition. I am cancelling this insurance and would never recommend Trupanion!

My Healthy Paws pet insurance has more than doubled in the past 2 years I now pay $123.00 a month and have never used it. Healthy Paws said expect it to keep rising randomly as your pet gets older.

This has to be the best insurance for pets!
They are fast in handling claims and professional at what they do for you and your fur baby 🙂 I looked at many other insurance companies for pets and Pumpkin offered the most coverage (90%) for a much more reasonable rate. Don’t look any further, pick PUMPKIN! You will not regret your decision. I know I haven’t. THANK YOU AGAIN PUMPKIN......YOU’RE THE BEST!!!

With Covid issues and trouble getting appointments with the vet I had trouble with a claim.
With Covid issues and trouble getting appointments with the vet, I had trouble with a claim. While it was eventually resolved, I am worried I will have trouble on future claims and feel I might be spending money on insurance that I would have been better to save for such emergencies. I would definitely tell people to research Trupanion's insurance. Also, their monthly fees go up dramatically on their yearly review of your pet's insurance depending on where you live which to me, seems wrong, as this is a North American wide insurance company and basing fees on location is definitely penalizing people who live in cities where services are often more expensive that smaller towns or rural areas. I believe they cover more than other pet insurance companies but read the fine print.
