I meant to have a $250 deductible
I meant to have a $250 deductible; however, when I reentered my information, the $500 deductible came back up but I didn't notice. I called the next day to try to change it to $250 but was told I would need to cancel and start all over or wait to the next year. I feel it should have been an easy change on a new policy.

My dog is 7 and we have had Trupanion since he was a puppy. He was diagnosed with Addison's Disease when he was around 2. Trupanion has been so responsive to claims and have made the process so easy. I am constantly recommending them to other dog owners. My dog also had major surgery and it was really helpful to be insured. They are also kind and compassionate as well. Can't say enough about them

Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience with this company. I got the insurance after my dog had gastroenteritis. A few months later my dog was diagnosed with lymphoma. He had no symptoms of this disease when I purchased this plan however since he had gastroenteritis they are acting as though every symptom of his lymphoma was pre-existing. Its a joke, not worth your time or money. It also takes nearly a month to get your claim back- right after your next billing cycle usually.

This insurance was the best decision I've ever made
I reviewed and compared several insurance companies before I signed up with trupanion. I'd never bought pet insurance before and was 95% sure I'd never need it, at least not for a long time. Wrong. While jumping as puppies do, Orla landed a little off and broke her leg. It was such a relief knowing the plan was in place. This policy saved me HUNDREDS already and we have follow up x-rays (possibly splints, medications, etc too) that I know I won't have to stress about. This coverage lets me focus on Orla getting better and not fretting about finances. Direct pay to the animal hospital was quick and stress free. I will recommend this to everyone who mentions thinking of getting a new pet.
