The best thing you can do for your pet
We started with Trupanion seven years ago. Seven years we went without so much as a medication claim. This year my sweet boy Miller was experiencing lameness which after many many medical visits and tests, turned out to be cancer. Trupanion was the best choice we ever made. He was seen by 3 different vets, he had multiple rounds of xrays and blood work, an ultrasound, a CT scan, MRI, a spinal tap, chemo therapy, and a week in intensive care at the hospital. We exhausted the hospitals diagnostic and treatment options, and we were able to give him the BEST care and ALL of the treatment options without having to worry about the financial side of pet care because of Trupanion. It didn’t matter if I called at 6AM or 11PM someone who genuinely cared always answered and I never waited more then 5 minutes on hold. They helped me submit preapprovals so I always knew I was covered, and they very promptly paid the balance afterwards. They made such a difficult and emotional situation soo much easier by removing the stress of payments. Unfortunately he did not win his battle with cancer, but he had the absolute best care, and that includes his insurance. Not only do I tell everyone who will listen that they MUST have pet insurance, I tell them they need Trupanion. It was the best decision we made for our pet, and I hope others make the same choice.

Best pet insurance ever
We've had pet insurance in the past for a prior dog that exceeded the limit and we had to put our dog down. We researched pet insurance when we purchased our 2 new pups and without it both our dogs would have been put down due to costs. We love Trupanion!

Super fast processing!
We had our dog into the emergency clinic for severe vomiting on Thursday. I submitted the claim to Trupaniom the same day and the claim was processed and approved the next day!

Absolute worst pet insurance company…
Absolute worst pet insurance company I’ve ever had. They will do anything they can to get out of a claim. I even sent an estimate of the surgery and prior to the surgical date, never heard anything back so I assumed it would be covered. They will leave you holding the bag as they don’t want to pay anything. Do not trust these people at all. 100% worst insurance company out there for pets and total scam artists.
