The claims have been approved in good time but payment of claims is slow. I have been waiting more than 10 days for the first of four to be paid out. An inquiry sent seven days ago has not had a response.

Trupanion is the easiest pet insurance ever! Bear had an unexpected dental crisis discovered during his routine dental cleaning - several abscessed teeth which needed extraction and are likely the cause of other symptoms. Trupanion coverage allowed us to move forward with treatment, and the claim was processed so quickly that my veterinarian was able to adjust our bill before we were even charged. I had NO paperwork to complete or refund to wait for. Trupanion always gives a clear explanation of what is covered, and during our five years of coverage the rate has increased a very small and reasonable amount. We will always use Trupanion for all our pets and highly recommend them!
