Felt as though we needed to have insurance for our pet due to unforseen events and the fact that veterinarian costs have become so expensive. My pet is healthy thank goodness but as a pet parent want to be able to provide the best care for my fur baby. I sleep a little better knowing that we are covered, thank you!!

This insurance is amazing. Responsive and ready to deal with your issues. I can not say enough about our experience. My home warranty insurance in California has almost 2000 complaints in on year with BBB and Pets Plus three complaints in 3 years. I’d say they are doing something right.

Affordable and easy pet insurance; read your contract and understand what you are paying for
I know many people complain about the wait times and feeling like they were misled by Pets Best. However, this is all due to people not reading their contracts thoroughly or understanding pre-existing conditions. My experience with Pets Best had been excellent and easy. I’ve submitted invoices from my vets, Pets Best has gone about obtaining the documents they needed without any issue, and I received payment in the form of a direct deposit for all charges that are covered by my contract. There’s been no contesting of medical procedures deemed necessary by my vet or requirement for me to gather documents, which is common under other pet insurances. Now if you are someone who got pet insurance late and have ANY indication of health issues from previous vets, you should understand anything slightly related won’t be covered (pre-existing conditions). This is the case with all pet insurance and is not unique to Pets Best. I’ve read through BBB complaints and many relate to this, saying Pets Best is fraudulent when they are making decisions based on what is outlined in the contract that was signed. Pets Best is an affordable insurance that does what they say they will albeit slightly slow (not surprising for the cost as they likely hire less staff; trade offs). Moral - read the fine print and know what you are paying for. They are a great option for pets without pre-existing conditions or even with pre-existing conditions if you understand related health issues won’t be covered.

Many Pros, One Con
I really like Pets Best for how much they cover, what is covered and the monthly amount is pretty low. I took away a star because it is taking over a month for me to get reimbursed. Over all I am really happy I picked Pets Best! I've used it every month since I got my dog 6 months ago so it is so worth it.

Disappointed
In August 2020, I was happy to find Sonnet Insurance for my two rental homes. The price seemed fair (compared to other companies) and coverage was adequate. Fast forward a year and I realize they've auto-renewed with inflated costs of 18-23% increases!! The only notice regarding 'a renewal' was an email titled "Your home policy is set to renew". It was referring to only one of the two policies. I received an additional email 2 months later with subject line "You have reminders". Although I tried various methods, I was unable to access these reminders. Overall, I'm disappointed with Sonnet Insurance and will be looking elsewhere for affordable landlord insurance. I enrolled my puppy back in March 2019. The premium increased around 35% in March 2021. Huge jump on premium. :) Do your research before enroll you pet(s).

So thankful I had this insurance for Moki
So happy to have this for my Chichi mix- Moki. When he became sick and needed a life saving surgery it was going to cost thousands. They had us reimbursed direct deposit within 4 days of submitting the claim. Moki is doing much better and we could not be happier! I am a 20 year Veteriany technician and I tell clients about healthy paws!
