A Real Life Saver
Charley is 16 and a miracle. He’s the best (and costliest) dog I’ve ever had. And, I’ve loved them all. We would not have been able to come through this during the pandemic without the caring, competent team at Trupanion. My only regret is not knowing about them earlier! Long Live King Charley, Long Live The King! 4 More Years!

I opted for this insurance for a couple…
I opted for this insurance for a couple of main reason; one, it was discounted via my employer and second I wanted to take sign up as soon as possible because I have some routine visits for my pet coming up within the next 30 days. I received a call from a rep and they explained to me that routine visits are not covered and that I had to add those services at checkout....that I couldn't make that change now, had to wait for a year to make that change on my policy. If I would have know this I would have looked out for the option to add this via checkout but I wasn't aware this wasn't covered by default and the fact that I just signed up within the past week, you would think I could still modify my policy to now add those services instead of now having to wait a year to do so.

Waste of money- everything is a pre-existing condition
Every claim is denied based on a questionable claim that every condition is pre-existing. Dog had an ear infection before signing up, now every infection is considered pre-existing. Same with eye infections and stomach issues.

Terrible service
After over a year being insured with PetsBest, and a few trips to the vet for minor problems, I received very few reimbursements for my puppy’s health care and I feel like I’m throwing money out the window. Customer service is useless when reachable. Processing time is over a month to be told that everything that is happening to my dog is prior to signing the insurance policy. I took the insurance she wasn’t even a year old so I don’t see what can be prior existing conditions in my case. She is healthy just need vaccines, tick disease test and sometimes she hurts herself while playing. She is small and has a lot of energy so to me this is very normal. I’m not satisfied at all and after filing this last claim today, if service does not get better I’ll be looking for another insurance policy.

Financial lifesaver for active dogs!
I've been a Healthy Paws customer since 2017. My dog Barley has had multiple big health scares over that time, but Healthy Paws has always been SO easy to work with! Barley swallowed a stick and needed big emergency abdominal surgery in 2019. It was a huge relief to know that Healthy Paws had my back with that expensive surgery, and I knew I could afford the diagnostics to keep him super-healthy. If I didn't have insurance I may have skipped some of the diagnostics! Then this summer Barley was bitten by a brown recluse spider. He ended up needing MONTHS of physical therapy, diagnostics, and debriding on a necrotic wound. Healthy Paws was there to help support me financially through all of that, which was a HUGE relief. I'd probably be financially ruined without Healthy Paws this summer.
