It's a SCAM
It's a SCAM. Their business is based on denying claims. I have paid $600 in premiums to cover $2300 in out of pocket medical expenses, and Embrace is covering ZERO. Their pre-existing condition policy is outrageous (as commented by many other reviewers). An example: My dog had to have 2 teeth pulled and her teeth cleaned. Because a previous visit identified plaque (the reason for the teeth cleaning), the company denied the claim because plaque was a "pre-existing condition". Imagine if you went to the dentist for a cleaning and they said because you had plaque we are considering any of your treatments a pre-existing condition and denying coverage. Thats why you go to the dentist! Additionally my dog has a skin allergy, so they denied any skin related charges due to pre-existing conditions. And when my dog got an ear infection they denied that because of her skin allergy. Because now ears and skin are the same thing?!? ADDITIONALLY they have another category called "Wellness Rewards" which unless you have added it to your policy they will not cover preventative care. In short they designed another way to deny your claim. This is a SCAM. This industry needs to be regulated. DO NOT USE. *Insert canned response from their PR team on how its in the fine print and I can contact customer service.

Trupanion is a life saver literally for my puppy. We have spent well over $6k to save my puppy’s life and they covered 90% minus the $500 deductible. I will never have young dogs without having Trupanion insurance. Not only did they cover 90% minus a deductible, I got my money within a week after my claim. Healthy Paws pet insurance has been amazing and the best investment I’ve ever made.I purchased it a little over a year ago for my healthy one year old husky and used it once shortly after initial purchase when Tahoe ingested a toxic mushroom in our yard and ended up in the ER and spending over a day in ICU.I was reimbursed within 2 weeks after submitting invoice and medical records.Then sadly last month Tahoe started with bizarre neurological symptoms landing him in the ER twice in 2 days each time being admitted for blood work, x-rays, medications and even a head CT.The local ER vets concluded that he would need a specialist for a mri of his spine which was locally not available.After traveling several hours to a Neurologist for a MRI and spinal tap Tahoe was diagnosed with Wobbler’s disease and would need surgery to stop the spinal cord compression.I already applied well over $8000 to my credit card and we have not even seen the surgeon yet.Healthy paws has already delivered checks for over $4000 thousand this month and the rest is in the mail.Without this surgery Tahoe would be in constant severe pain and shortly become paralyzed and honestly I’m not sure I could afford the surgery especially after already spending $8000.I hate to even think of the decisions I’d have to make if I did not have Healthy Paws insurance.After this surgery Tahoe will live a long , normal and pain free life. Customer service reps are very easy to get a hold, I never wait long on hold , they are very friendly and very knowledgeable.
