A huge waste of your money!
If you have a Chihuahua or part Chihuahua dog, don't bother paying high premiums to insure it. These people denied my claim for surgery on my dog recently because his Vet mentioned in 2024 that he had loose knees. Nearly all Chihuahua breeds have this genetic condition! The dog never so much as limped until last month when he tore his acl. Their illness policy is supposed to cover genetic conditions. Well, so much for that lie!

Easy of direct billing
Easy of direct billing and correct mistakes in the billing process, coverage level of care. My only complaint is that the veterinary specialist and emergency consult should be covered as these are NOT normal veterinary events. Seeing a veterinarian for regular health checks is a normal expected cost.

First time claiming through Trupanion. Not only did they pay my claim quickly, send me an email explaining what was paid and why, but someone (yes… a live person) called me to make sure I understood and to answer any other questions. I had additional claims against the same illness and those were also paid quickly.
