Good response time
Summitting my claim was so easy and processed quickly. They sent me several emails with status and explanation of benefits and my reimbursement came soon after.

40% increase after one year,no claims!
Signed up last year, healthy 2 yr old rescue pup already spayed on yearly heartworm prevention. We "received " a military discount and supposedly received a partner company discount which was combined 20%. One year later at renewal they incredibly raised our premiums 40%. We had zero claims! Also the plan does not allow for well visit coverage. I shopped around and found that their 20% "discount " equaled every other company's regular price. Raising rates 40% in ONE year, AFTER supposed discounts is absurd!!! Cancelled policy will look around for different company.

Excellent Service
Great insurance business for your pet's needs. I was being charged a lot of money for my German Shepard and Trupanion came in and reduced the cost while providing excellent coverage.

Prudent Pet is great!!
I've reviewed Prudent Pet before, but am doing so again because I can't sing their praises enough!! My puppy has had so many issues and Prudent Pet has helped me through them all. They process claims quickly and we've never been denied. Customer service is excellent. I am really glad I signed up with them and have recommended them to friends and family.

My 4 year old German Shepard got sick…
My 4 year old German Shepard got sick suddenly and we ended up with a pretty big vet bill. The claim process could not have been any easier. I went onto the website, filled out the info and uploaded my bill and that was it! A few days later they sent me an approval email with a breakdown of all that was covered. I should have a check in 5 - 7 days! I'm happy to know that there is no hassle and they are there if and when I need them:)

TPLO surgery!
My dog recently underwent TPLO surgery (Aug 2022), which as anyone who has gone through this, can be quite costly. I am thankful that Healthy Paws processed my claim exactly as stated in the policy, and without any stress. These situations with our fur-babies are stressful enough, as it is. My claim was processed efficiently, and I couldn’t be more pleased with Healthy Paws. I have recommended them for pet insurance throughout the years, as they are responsive, and hassle-free.

Does not cover main needs
We have found that our policy does not cover nearly has much as we had hoped. We have had multiple vet visits not be covered due to pre-existing, but still struggle to understand how they are related. We also had part of a surgery that was not covered, due to it being preventative, but if the surgery would be needed in an emergency it would then be covered. If our policy goes up, we will most likely cancel due to lack of coverage.

Next to zero coverage for claims
We recently adopted a rescue dog and when he arrived to DC he developed allergies. We took him in for his first vet visit and they identified an unknown allergy. We tried the initial vet suggestion of fish oil (for the skin) and Zyrtec, but neither of those worked. We then got Fetch pet insurance, and after the 15-day waiting period expired, we went back to the vet to get him reevaluated. They ran tests and gave him an allergy shot and some pills and a spray (which totaled in the hundreds of dollars). However, since the first vet visit listed an unknown allergy, they considered the whole experience a pre-existing condition. I called to get some clarity on this policy, and they informed me that all future allergy treatments would thus be considered "pre-existing" since it was on his first vet record, and wouldn't be covered. I will be looking elsewhere for pet insurance, as the entire process has been cumbersome and frustrating, and Fetch is just taking in premiums and not paying out claims. I'm wondering why I have pet insurance if these claims aren't covered.
