Requiring a veterinarian to have another veterinarian do all exams, diagnostics etc is ridiculous. I understand where you are coming from but there are so many companies that allow us to care for our own pets. It unfortunately does affect the companies that I recommend to clients

Trupanion was very knowledgeable about dog allergy problems and about my dog's upcoming knee surgery.
Trupanion was very knowledgeable about dog allergy problems and about my dog's upcoming knee surgery. They advised me to send my bill for allergies and my estimate for surgical repair to his tibia so they could get back with me regarding coverage. The lady seemed to have my dog's best interests at heart and offered me some much needed information regarding out-of-pocket expenses and will call me back with more data after reviewing the planned operative repair. The lady was very pleasant and understanding.
