The claims processing from Trupanion is simple and efficient. If you have a 'clean' claim, it is paid in a couple of days. The only issue I have had with Trupanion is when claims are denied. When that happens, it takes a lot of time providing the justification for turning over the adjudication decision.

Our young puppy chewed off and swallowed a piece of wire, resulting in an over $3,000 bill at the emergency vet. I submitted my very first claim to Trupanion, and had a reimbursement check arrive at my home from them in less than a week. A few days later, my regular vet took a series of x-rays during a follow up visit. Trupanion approved their claim in a matter of moments, and sent them payment almost immediately. All of this after me having signed up our pup with Trupanion only a couple of months earlier. Even though you think you’ve done everything possible to puppy proof a home, and keep a watchful eye over your furry friend, unexpected things can happen in an instant. Trupanion is there to help, and I’m highly impressed with their professionalism, their excellent customer service, and the way they truly care for the welfare of our pets. Thank you, Trupanion!

I submitted the receipt from the emergency vet and the money was in our bank account the next day. My regular vet submitted everything today after his follow up, and the entire process only took a matter of minutes. We paid the remainder. Very easy and straightforward.
