Filing a claim is a guessing game
"When filing a claim, the drop-down menus don't include some very common reasons for the claim. For example, hypertension is not listed. When I called Customer Service for advice as to what to choose from the available options, the agent got snippy and didn't listen to me at all."

Trupanion paid their portion before I had left the emergency vet in the middle of the night!
I’ve had Trupanion for 8 years, never needed to use it until last weekend. We ended up at the emergency vet over Labor Day weekend in the middle of the night, I let them know we had Trupanion. When it was time to take my pup home, Trupanion had paid their portion before I even checked out. So appreciated!

Good Experience for a Bad Experience
All 3 of my dogs on your insurance were sick with some stomach virus or something so I was at the emergency vet or regular vet 9 times in a 4 week span with different dogs. I have not had the chance to go over all of the details but I trust what I received in payment, it seems correct without going through everything. The process was easy, I tried waiting until the dogs were stable before submitting my paperwork because of all of the back and forth. I had to submit each claim separately anyway so next time I'll submit as I go. It did take a week or more before my claim was looked at which was not an issue for me. Once it was reviewed, payment came very quickly. Overall I'm really happy but again, I've not gone over the details but I'm pretty sure all is good. THANK YOU!
