Shady business practices.....you are…
Shady business practices.....you are NOT able to see your claims online, you are NOT able to edit or make changes to your payment methods for you monthly automated payments and when you call customer service they have limited access to data that would help navigate customer inquiries. On 2 separate claims, I was given wrong information over the phone. One of those claims, 2 separate represents provided me wrong information stating I was getting reimbursed and a check was in the mail which none was true. I had to call my bank to not allow this company to continue to charge my account each month. I don't care what their contract says, but the minute you not allow me to access my own personal data for my credit card information online, throws red flags and not be able to see my claims. I have been told for months that this is a future enhancement. It has been 9 months. Read the fine print and don't expect to get consistent and accurate information when everything is done in a silo behind closed doors when reviewing your claims. I have another dog that I use a different pet insurance from my previous employerand the experience is completely different. I can see my claims and what is/isnt' going to be covered and reimbursed. When you call customer service they walk through and can see the underwriter information and speak to it. When you are researching pet insurance, make sure you ask about the user experience as well as the fine print

Five Star Service
Our English Bulldog will be turning four this October. We've been with Fetch since he was a puppy. We love how they make the process of setting up a claim and updating account information. My husband and I don't like to call for customer service concerns and always use resources thru the websites and apps. We've filed several claims already and never once had to call about it. Love the app, the claim process, and of course the people behind those chats & emails. They are a great partner to raising our baby boy. Thank you for such great service!

I was skeptical about having pet insurance but thought it was a good idea with a new puppy. I have been thrilled with the customer service and turnaround times for claims. So far I have only used it for wellness, but it has been very helpful. Thank you!

I think this is a great product and fits our budget but was not advised there is a fee if using a debit/credit card when I initially signed up.

Typical insurance company
Update: The day I posted here trupanion contacted my family and overturned the previous denial. The right people at the company saw the post and helped me out. Frustrating but in the end I think they did the right thing. My dog occasionally ate his and his sister's poop when he was a baby. We investigated it as a cause for his diarrhea. It was not an emergency. 7 months later he obtained a piece of corn and ate the cob. As any dog probably would. He needed surgery to get it out. Trupanion said that because he ate foreign objects (his poo) twice before coverage, they wouldn't cover the surgery. I disputed in writing and over the phone. They say because he has a habit of eating foreign objects, it's not covered. Trupanion is a typical insurance company. Likely better off putting money aside in a savings account. I have been a customer of trupanion for 10 years with multiple dogs. Their response below to my appeal. Claim: 8905831 We have completed the secondary review of Charlie’s claim, with an assessment of the medical records and the clarification provided by Dr. XXXX from XXXX Veterinary Hospital. Charlie’s records document he, “eats his & other dogs poo that is in the yard,” (12/13/2021) and, “gets into his poop sometime,” (1/13/2022). Per Trupanion policy we do not cover ingestion of foreign material if, “the same or similar activity occurred more than once before your enrollment.” (9.B.VI). Unfortunately, as Charlie is documented to have more than one episode of foreign material ingestion (feces) prior to enrollment, we remain unable to provide coverage for his recent corn cob ingestion
