Cancellation without notice or contact

I was initially very impressed with Sonnet, especially in terms of the ease of set up and seemingly great customer service around switching provinces. However, when I neglected to change my drivers license number, my policy was cancelled. When I contacted them with the new drivers license information to rectify this, I was assured it would be fixed. I was not notified when my policy was not reinstated for whatever reason, and have been fighting with customer service since*, repeatedly being told that they are prioritizing this system issue. Since finding out my policy was cancelled, I have gotten insurance elsewhere, and most recently when contacting Sonnet, was only told "Sorry for the inconvenience." *including contacting both the chat and email listed in Sonnet’s comment below

The amount of time that it takes to...

The amount of time that it takes to get someone on the phone (coverage change in my case) is ridiculous. Not having the ability to make changes online or through an app is ridiculous in 2021. ASPCA needs to step up on customer service and online technology

Was glad to find a plan that didn't require mortality coverage

Was glad to find a plan that would cover colic and accident without having to carry mortality. I am 70 and my horse is 19, I will not be getting another horse so the mortality is not important to me. I can cover the expenses related to his passing, but want to be sure I still have coverage for those ever surprising and costly expenses related to colic and accidents. This seems perfect for my current needs.

Trupanion, there when you need them

In May 2020 we received the news our little girl had lymphoma. I immediately thought of my previous rottie and thought our time was done. My wife suggested we start Chemotherapy with her and give her the best life possible. After the initial treatment Trupanion pays quickly and direct deposit is wonderful. We cannot cure this but she is happy and doing great. We are getting to enjoy what time she has left.

Ya u all say your happy and satisfied now with there service ..wait till u have to put a claim in ..I'm sure all your positive messages will change ..my son is still waiting with cooperation on time frame ..still no rental car..no word on if his car got paid out ...almost 2 months have gone buy...so good luck and pray to God u don't have to put in a claim ...I've never heard or been with a company where u wait almost to months for a resault..

The process of setting up my policy was quick and painless. I did make a phone call in and spoke to someone who was extremely helpful and polite. Switching to Sonnet has lowered my monthly insurance cost by $132!! We are very happy so far.

Manipulative sales tactic, nice website, too soon to review the coverage itself.

I initially researched the coverage online and decided what I wanted, then called to see if I could set it up to start at a later date than what I was offered online. Everybody on the phones were super nice, confirmed we could pick a date to start coverage, but I was immediately shuffled away from the product I wanted over to something that I was told is identical. If it's identical, including price, why can't I have what I wanted? It just weirded me out and seemed like a sketchy sale tactic, especially when accompanied by telling me about their own (supposed) pet and all the costly things that had come up, and didn't I want to triple my coverage? I ended up just waiting and making the purchase online by myself. Will avoid calling in the future, if able.
