If your pet injures another limb
Claim was denied on my dog for his surgery for torn ACL on left leg even though injury happened after waiting period and insurance was in effect. Since he had sustained an injury to his right leg prior to insurance coverage they considered this a pre existing condition since it’s another limb. When I had called to check on coverage and surgery after visit to get done on injury to left leg the representative never said or explained if he had the same possible injury to a different leg the surgery wouldn’t be covered.

This is our first time having insurance…
This is our first time having insurance on a pet. To be honest, I didn’t expect much more than a hassle. I anticipated any insurance company would try to get out of paying for claims, etc. Well, wow, was I surprised. Not only did Trupanion approve our claim, they did it sooo fast! I would definitely recommend this company to anyone with a pet! They’ve already saved us what we put in and more!
