Effortless Claim...thank you Trupanion!
Our 9 year old Golden Doodle unfortunately suffered a Cruciate Ligament Rupture and required a surgery known as TPLO. The veterinary clinic dealt directly with Trupanion and Trupanion covered 90% of the $4700 bill with no hassle or issues. They even paid the vet directly so I only had to pay the difference from my pocket vs paying the whole bill and waiting for reimbursement. We have been with Trupanion since our Golden Doodle was 10 weeks old and they have always been excellent to deal with. Insurance is something you pay for and hope you never have to use. It is nice to see a company stand behind their claims. Highly recommend using them for your pet's insurance provider. Thanks again Trupanion for being there when we needed you!

Embrace canceled my account for me when…
Embrace canceled my account for me when my dog was euthanized, so there was no record of what bank account the insurance payout was sent to. I wish they had saved that information. They said they sent the money, but I didn’t receive it and when I called to inquire about it they couldn’t tell me where they sent it to. They put in a search for it and told me they would contact me to tell me what they found out. They never called me. I was forced to contact my ex-husband to ask him if the money had been deposited in his account, which it had and that was fine. I just wish they had included the last few digits of the bank account in the email saying they had sent the money and/or not erased all information about my account before one of us had received the payout.

Just signed up but positive experience this far. Representative called me to explain the policy and make sure I didn’t have any questions. She was very friendly and helpful. Submitted my first claim today and it was super simple. Took pics of my bill right on my phone.

Be prepared for hassle with getting a claim paid..
The two illness/injury claims I filed were almost immediately denied. I had to go through an appeals process and in one instance file a complaint with the State Corporation Commission to get a response. They blatantly ignored timeliness in their policy, saying it could take 60 days to resolve an appeal when the policy stated 30. Ultimately, I cancelled. For the expense, there are better insurance providers.
