Healthy Paws is wonderful
Healthy Paws is wonderful! They’re always very prompt with processing our claims. It gives us one less thing to worry about when our pets are sick or injured. I highly recommend this company!

Excellent Service!!!!
I thought the ease of the claims (i had 2 dog claims) Wellness claims for both pets. I thought since I had the best plan of 90% coverage I would have seen more than $360 of $885 returned to me. Not pleased with the outcome but they were very quick at answering the claims.

Get you everytime
The customer service is team is very kind and always answers. That being said so far every time I’ve used them, they only pay out a couple dollars of my bill. I’ve got a $200 deductible and they refuse to pay the emergency exam fee for any animals. It’s a cheap move and it’s very frustrating. What’s the one fee ALWAYS *required* by every vet during an injury? The emergency exam fee. So out of my nearly $400 bill with a $200 deductible I got a whopping $36. Doesn’t even pay my monthly bill. This service is based on fear. I’m pressured to keep it through marketing and social media that if I don’t I won’t be able to afford my pet’s surgery fees, but amazingly they don’t pay out everytime I’ve needed them. It’s pretty frustrating.

Denied on a technicality after 4 years of paying a premium for nothing
We've had our cat covered with Trupanion for 4 years now with a fairly expensive policy. He goes every year for a check-up save the last two due to Covid. We noticed an issue with his eating and behaviour and took him as soon as we could (literally the day the restrictions were relaxed enough to go in person). Our cat needed dental surgery for a degenerative gum disease... Nothing we could have done to prevent it either... So we took him because we were going to have to do it anyway but sure enough Trupanion denies us coverage because he missed his annual check ups for the past two years... Thanks for absolutely no value whatsoever and hinging on a technicality to avoid a payout despite the global conditions impacting everyone. I know who I won't trust to look after my pet ever again. It is worth noting that we now have in writing that this will not impact his future coverage and my fiancee has opted to keep the insurance but forgive me for being skeptical given the current experience. UPDATE: April 5, 2022. Unfortunately this has gone from bad to worse after the last conversation my fiancee just had with the company. Not only are they standing by their decision to not provide coverage regardless of circumstance, they are now indicating the information provided by the previous agent suggesting that Gucci will be covered going forward was incorrect and in fact the insurance is basically completely worthless and we have been paying for nothing. Rather terrible, and again not on the people in the service facing roles but the organization as a whole and the honesty and compassion that is lacking in an industry where those should be your MO. We are fortunate to be able to provide for our companion without insurance but I imagine this would be devastating for anyone who could not.
