Emergency Surgery
Being faced with a life-threatening emergency of bloat for my dog Kane was a scary experience. I was so worried about my boy's chances, but the one thing I didn't worry about was the ability to pay for it. Healthy Paws Pet insurance gave me the piece of mind that I'd be reimbursed for his surgery and hospital stay. Worth every penny and he's a happy, healthy dog again.

Good product with limitations
Liked the efficiency of getting this for my animals. The $500 deductible for each pet is a bit steep though.

Worst insurance provider
They are incredibly difficult to work with. There customer service can’t answer questions about my coverage despite buying insurance before I got my dog as a pup. They use a script that’s no different than speaking with a chatbot or an automated voice recording. When you submit a claim they keep asking for more information such as the entire medical history of my dog from his vet every time. Then after submitting what I was given by the vet they still say it’s not enough details. Why don’t they just allow vets to easily submit the claims so they can work with them directly to get the information they need. I would advise anyone looking to get insurance from them to reconsider because at the end of the day you’ll spend more time going back and forth than the cost of any claim.

Healthy Paws Best Pet Insurance
I have had my pet’s medical insured though Healthy Paws since she was a puppy and it has come in handy when you least expect an emergency to occur. My pet h had accidentally eaten a medication pill that dropped on the floor. I took her to the ER where they monitored her heart and set up an IV to remove the toxicity in her body. They observed her overnight at the hospital. Of course the cost was great but, Healthy Paws was able to process the claim within 3 days and made my financial burden less so that I was able to take good care of my pet. It is worth purchasing pet insurance as, you never will know when an accident will occur.

PUMPKIN PET INS denied my pet prescription
Pumpkin denied a prescription Royal canine prescription diet for Kaiser that is on more than a year that always was refunded. They said to appeal but the appeal will affect other claims. Later the email information about the appeal indicates that they might impact other claims as they are related. Kaiser has exams in a week regarding his cancer status. So how am I supposed to continue caring for his care when pumpkin might stop these future expenses on the light of an appeal? The raised Kaiser premium from $117 to $177 as of January 2023. How does this look for caring for my pet?

No problem taking payments but as soon…
No problem taking payments but as soon as I went to get reimbursed by placing a deposit account I was kicked off and my account lost in limbo saying I need to register and repeatedly telling me I already have. Reached out by email, waiting, but pretty convenient for them.
