Great pet insurance!
We got Trupanion on our kitty Jasper when we adopted him as a kitten in Dec 2024. Luckily we haven't had to use this insurance coverage until recently when we had to take him to the emergency vet for some GI issues that were really scary and concerning. We were so relieved to have pet insurance through Trupanion and know that we were not alone with the bill that was sure to ensue. We feel like the $250 deductible is understandable, and we were very thankful for the 10%/90% split after that. I highly recommend having a pet care folder that you take with you to all vet visits and carrying a printed copy of your Trupanion policy. This was very helpful for us in talking to the vet and understanding what would be covered and what would not, which helped us feel comfortable proceeding with care that was needed without too much panic or stress about the cost, and instead we were able to focus on the most important thing; the well-being of our boy!
