Peace of mind
This is my first experience with pet insurance, and I could not be happier. I have heard horror stories about pet insurance and/or no pet insurance. I don't think I would ever venture from MetLife; it works for me and my pup very well and I have 24/7 peace of mind knowing I don't have to worry about the high cost of veterinary bills that comes with owning a pet.

So far so good!
Stepanie Toppel made the experience of getting the insurance policy easy. She answered all my questions and when I caught the mistake of Piper's size, she took care of it immediately. Now I await official effective date and usage. If it's as easy as obtaining the policy I will be very happy.

Do not be fooled by the 'wellness'…
Do not be fooled by the 'wellness' extra. It doesn't actually cover most of neutering at all. That, coupled with the high deductible, the hassle of the app not working most of the time when we actually went to add receipts, and the difficulty of actually talking to a person (25 minutes on hold) make me cringe about the thousands of dollars we have put into this insurance over the last few years.

Healthy Paws Review
We are so grateful to have selected Healthy Paws when shopping for pet insurance for our puppy. He had been very healthy until he got to be a few years old and then we were faced with a diagnosis and some trips to the ER with bills that we would not have been able to pay on our own. Having Healthy Paws means that we can make sound decisions about the health of our dog rather than worry about the bill. The process of filing claims is very easy and they even checked in to see our dog was feeling after his trips to the hospital.

I do not believe this comment to be true. Every time it takes weeks to get a response. Check the google reviews. Truth is somewhere in between.

The company is not up front on their coverage and makes the process very difficult. Only responds with email and escalations are taking months. Additionally for what I’ve paid in with three dogs and no claims it’s a small fortune.
