Easy website to navigate

We liked how straightforward the website was to use (with some pup word play thrown in for cuteness). We're so happy to have our girl covered.

Spot Website

The Spot website is confusing and hard to distinguish from all the other advertisers selling pet insurance.

Hank goodness for trupaniom

I am so glad I have Trupanion as insurance. This was my dog’s second foreign body surgery that cost 15,000. Trupaniom covered it at 90%. We never would have been able to afford this surgery without the help,of trupanion. They may be expensive when paying your monthly premium, but you can always count on them to help pay for those unexpected e emergencies.

Claim

ASPCA is absolutely customer friendly. They go out of their way to answer any questions I have. And it is so easy to submit a claim on line. I highly recommend ASPCA pet insurance. It will pay for itself each year.

No help given - just another paper to read

I asked for help to determine if a service performed on my dog counted for insurance and after waiting almost a week for a reply, they sent me the guidelines again. Not much help after uploading all of my documents. Not the service I expected. I wrote back again and never heard back.

very satisfied with the claim settlement

The vet could file the claim for me and I did not have to show anything except the paid invoices. The process did not take as long as I was told and Embrace paid what they said they would in my contract. On the strength of this transaction I added another dog to the policy.

Disappointed and feel duped!

We adopted two cats in August and took them to the vet for a check-up just to make sure everything was okay. Fortunately, they were both in good health although the vet did detect a slight heart murmur in both cats. At the time of the examination, the vet informed us that this could be attributed to the stress of being taken out of their new home after they had just gotten used to us. (Fear that we might taking them back to the shelter) Sure enough, on subsequent visits, the heart murmur was no longer heard. In early January one of the cats started coughing. Usually just once a day, but just to be sure he was okay I took him to the vet. They did x-rays and gave him a shot for asthma. On the x-ray, they thought his heart looked a little enlarged so they recommended an echocardiogram. I knew this was an expensive test, but I thought, better safe than sorry and also felt at ease because I had Embrace pet insurance. Luckily the echo came back fine and the cough cleared up from the shot. What a relief! Well, until I found out the claim had been DENIED!!! After waiting over a month both claims were denied by Embrace because they declared him as having a pre-existing condition. Apparently, the heart murmur that no longer exists nullified the claims. My vet wrote a letter to Embrace assuring them that the heart murmur was "white coat syndrome" but they still denied the claim. Disappointment is an understatement for the way I feel about Embrace, not to mention the $1,500 bill that I am now stuck with paying. I would NOT recommend this company!!!!
