Not sure what to make of Trupanion
I have had a very good experience with Trupanion until recently. All of a sudden they are raising my rates and making changes to the policy and how it works and how things are calculated. I find it very dishonest.

This pet insurance is a scam!!!!!
This pet insurance is a scam!!!!!! Don’t get it. I was paying extra for Illness then when I filed a claim I found out my dog wasn’t covered for Illness due to his age but it never said that in the policy. I called to cancel my policy and they never canceled it and was still charging me and won’t refund me my money.

Insurance denied
Despite charging me an ever increasing monthly amount cumulating in a $167 per month charge (after the latest annual hike)... for $2500 coverage, $400 deductible, and a 90% reimbursement for a period of years, for 10 year old otherwise healthy dog, Fetch denied a dental claim of a little over $1500 based on (they said) a pre-existing condition. That condition being, a being a vet report in 2018 that stated mild tartar was present on the canine teeth. no treatment was recommended at the time., and no exclusion was noted when I signed on with Fetch a couple of months later. (despite them requesting all the vet notes from my vet). I have to say though, the reps on the phone were excellent, and totally understood my concerns and respected my decision to cancel the policies that I held with Fetch. save your money and go to an insurer that pays out. If a big claim happens, you need to know the insurance company has your back when you need it, and doesn't look for reasons not to pay

Highly Recommend Signing Up Today!
We signed up for Healthy Paws the day we adopted our 2-year-old rescue Aussie Shepard mix and we are SO GRATEFUL we did! Turns out our pup has epilepsy so we have been to see three general vets, an emergency vet, and a neurologist, which as you can imagine adds up. Not to mention daily medicines, prescription diet, and lifestyle changes needed to manage our dog's seizures. Healthy Paws has been incredibly responsive to all questions about claims and we receive the reimbursement within a couple of days.
