Trupanion is a relief!
I was hesitant about getting pet insurance. An additional monthly bill for the what ifs, etc. Thankfully we did. Trupanion has been there with us through two emergency surgeries for our 10mo old puppy. Both claims were reviewed, processed, approved, and closed within 36hrs. We use the app which is user friendly. Thank you Trupanion for helping us take care of our fur baby!

We’ve had Trupanion for 12 years now
We’ve had Trupanion for 12 years now. I love the deductible per condition instead of a deductible that resets each year. Our oldest dog suffered a condition that we have to have semi annual test for plus she’s been on 3 medications for some time. We only had to pay the deductible once and that’s a big money saver. We now have two dogs and three cats and they all are covered.

It takes longer to get the claim’s paid
I recently changed from another insurance, and it takes longer to get the claim got processed compared to the previous one. I submitted claims for two pets on 2/20, and one of them hasn’t been processed yet. Also, I wish this insurance has an app for easier process.

They will not be there for you when you need them the most
I have had this insurance on my dog for almost 12 years and in the last two years they’ve gone up on my premium over $200 per month. My dog is an excellent health but now they know that it is the most vulnerable stage of his life and they’re placing me in a situation where I may not be able to afford to keep the policy. This forces me to have to look for other insurance which will have waiting periods something you should not have to worry about after you paid for a policy for years and when you fear you may need it the most you’re forced out of it because the company is greed and very poor management. Are used to be a big fan of this company until I had to go through the claims process with them a few times and had a pet that lives long enough to reach the stage thank goodness Where they show their true colors in the lack of loyalty that they had to the clients our care for the well-being of your animal. I no longer have the peace of mind knowing that I had quality insurance in case my dog needed medical care. This is my main complaint but their claims process is ridiculous. if you submit a claim they will lose your invoice almost every time and the larger the claim the more they lose and the more excuses they come up with for not paying. Therefore , I would not recommend this company to anyone seeking reliable coverage for their Pet’s medical needs

Amazing company to work with!
Okay, this may be my only business review I have ever done but im so impressed, i have to recommend! If you are getting a pet and looking for insurance, Trupanion is the best! Our little Molly has had a litany of issues- nothing serious (broken arm, allergies, constant ear infections, itchiness, etc)- we are not cheap customers! Her vet recommended allergy testing. I live chatted with a rep from Trupanion and in less than 2 minutes (and the vet coming back into room), they said it was absolutely covered and said “give Molly big hugs”! I submitted the $571 invoice yesterday evening and guess who woke up to it already being approved and headed to the bank!!? Less than 18 hours! They have consistently in the 3 years that we had our girl, been amazing! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
