FETCH is the best!
I’ve been with Trupanion and Pet Secure with different pets. The last 5 years I’ve been with FETCH and they have the most comprehensive coverage, a great App that is easy to use and excellent customer service.

Look no further!!
I was so skeptical of pet insurance companies but Healthy Pet has been beyond supportive and astonishing fast in sending payment also has the simplest submittal process. Their app has all info in one place super simple to access.

So does any policy owners know that…
So does any policy owners know that they don't cover the dr! Only procedures. Crazy because how do you know what procedures you need if your animal is not seen by a vet. Only paid a third of my bill so i paid more in premiums & now behind on premiums VS what they cover.

My experience with Lemonade
At first they seemed ok. I have a puppy now 11 months old. I received money back on vaccines. He got kennel cough, I sent them the bill but they needed to contact my vet for more information. I think they may have covered something. The real issue I had was when I neutered my puppy. They covered the neuter as it says in my contract.. which they kept referring back to. They don’t tell you that they don’t cover the anesthesia, the laser, or even the medication you get sent home with. I was very surprised. The neuter itself was $343, they reimbursed me $120. He did need some teeth removed but I already knew that wouldn’t be covered. However, there is a list of about $247 of things I thought would be covered including anesthesia & the laser required for surgery, as well as medication for after care.

Have to jump through hoops to get claims paid
Processing this claim took 3 attempts and 4 months. 2 denials due to our vet not providing the requested information, however they provided us with the confirmation from the fax they sent. I had to physically go to the vet, have them print all the records, then screenshot all pages and submit on the site to get positive results. If I hadn’t persevered, this would have never been possible. I’m sure many people would just give up, but I pay over $100 a month to cover our fur babies… and it honestly shouldn’t be this difficult, I mean there is no way to talk to a person, and email responses are canned responses that are 0% helpful. Why is it necessary to supply all records (from the pets 1st visit to current) for every single claim?? Why can’t Pets Best just request the newest records, since they have had the previous records already submitted in the past? Not user friendly in any way shape or form!

It has given us such piece of mind knowing we have Trupanion. Both of our “boys” have required expensive, emergency care and our Trupanion coverage has been invaluable!
