Switched to Pets Best and love it
I switched to Pets Best after a few years with a different provider. Basically they provided greater cover (twice the limit and preventative care), a lower deductible and a lower premium. This combined with a fair claim process makes Pets Best the winner.

The best decision that I made was to get a Nationwide Pet Insurance policy for my 11 week old Bichon Poodle, Beejay, in 2008. Very sadly, Beejay passed away on 4/18/2023, just shy of his 15th birthday in May. Having a Nationwide Pet Insurance policy, throughout his life, made it possible for me to provide him with “thee” best Veterinarian medical care available including Veterinary Specialist which gave me peace of mind. Thank you Nationwide Pet Insurance team for helping me to provide Beejay with a munched loved, happy, healthy and long life.

I was always able to speak with a helpful person. They were more than just a phone operator very personable people. Every question I had was always answered. They helped me work my claim I thank you so much and would recommend them to anyone who's a pet parent.

The absolute best pet insurance company!
TruPanion covered and protected our previous fur baby Eli for the 13 lovely years we were blessed with him before he went to doggie heaven. If we did not have coverage through TruPanion we probably would not have had Eli for as long as we had him. Since, he came close to leaving us when he first got diabetes at 6 yrs old. Yet TruPanion still insured our new fur baby. TruPanion eased our financial worry time and time again by assuring the hospitals they’d pay them directly, and they did without any questions. Also, submitting receipts for out of pocket expenses—prescriptions etc., was super easy and getting reimbursed was fast! I’ve told my extended family, friends and coworkers about how AMAZING TruPanion is! I would never use another company to provide protection for any of our fur babies🙏🏽thank you VERY MUCH from the bottom of our hearts TruPanion❤️ the Cox Family from Long Island, NY.

It’s definitely worth it!
I signed up with them in January and I was unsure if certain things would be covered or if my claims would be denied. My puppy was limping and that was covered, he has impacted baby teeth and that was also covered. It’s now been 6 months and I’ve just submitted my largest claim which was submitted on my behalf by the receptionist. The claim due to my pup having elbow dysplasia on both front legs which was operated on. It came to $4000. After it was submitted I got a text and email saying that that they covered 90%. I was in shock but also extremely grateful in that moment that they had covered a good majority of the bill. Thank you so much Trupanion!

Trupanion has your back
Angel recently ate an entire bag of Oreos and I was concerned it would result in an expensive emergency visit. Then I remembered that I had Trupanion and how much they have covered past emergency visits very well. I felt relieved to have Trupanion. In the end we were able to get her to expel the Oreos and did not need to do an emergency visit. Yet it highlighted why we will always keep Trupanion. Angel is a bull terrier and they are a mischievous breed. The Oreos was in a closed pantry that she figured out how to access and exactly which bin to go in. The last ER visit she might have been poisoned from something outdoors that Trupanion paid hundreds for us. I would have had to take out a loan if not. Thank you Trupanion!

I recommend Trupanion if you want to be covered for a major surgery
I had a very good experience with Trupanion. They helped me a lot with my deceased dog who died from cancer. I recommend many people about trupanion. However, trupanion does not cover general office visit and physical exam. So I joined 2nd insurance company to cover for general treatments. But so far, those two insurance companies are not cooperating with my needs. I am very frustrating. Trupanion offer unlimited cover yet they have so many exemption, whereas most of insurance companies have annual limitation yet they cover most of the cost. So people who consider joining trupanion must consider whether you want to be covered general illness or sickness. Or you want to be covered when there is major illness that will cost over 10K treatment.
