We are glad we got pet insurance!
Healthy Paws has been great! We were unsure about getting pet insurance but did so anyways just to be on the safe side. I am so glad that we got it for our pup. We found out that he had torn ligaments in both hind legs and needed surgery on both. Without Healthy Paws, we would not have been able to afford the care our pup needed!

Trupanion bites
Trupanion bites. I just got notice that my dog's monthly fee will be increased 20% because of "inflation" (2% average). They have also found every single excuse not to cover our claims. Like, a UTI 4 years ago should not be a "pre-existing" condition to a current UTI. It's like me going to the doctor with the flu and the insurance saying "we won't cover that because you've had the flu in the past". Also, their "prices don't increase with age" claim is absolutely not true. They definitely increase prices as your pet ages. It's all on how you word it, folks! Absolutely ridiculous. The BEST part, is that all of us are locked in with Trupanion, because the moment we leave, we risk falling in with yet another awful insurance company that will mark everything as "pre-existing"...

Was a bit of a run around but was approved quickly after right person got on claim and vet office handled the filing.
Was a bit of a run around but was approved quickly after right person got on claim and vet office handled the filing. With my other dog, Anna, I'm getting a run around on the claim saying something about having to see if the dog has had any dental issues before. The dog has only turned a year old and hasn't had time to get dental issues...and she certainly wasn't born with a fractured tooth. It came from either a fall off porch stoop or from chewing on deer antlers I got at store. I'm waiting on claim to come thru so I can get her mouth xrayed too see if is all wrong that her tooth needs pulling. I give a 9 score for help with Lucy and nice folks helping but a very low rating on score with Anna's case, my toy poodle. Your office should have all off Anna's records from where she's been seen for eating leaves.
