Big words, no coverage. Make ASS-U-ME-tions all the time to deny coverage. Try other better companies. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Sachin, We're never happy when we have to deny a claim for a client. All claim decisions are based on your pet’s medical records and the signs/symptoms that are noted in those records by your veterinarian. Most pet insurance companies including Healthy Paws use a pet's medical records to determine if there are any pre-existing conditions that would keep us from approving a claim. While your Healthy Paws plan covers the costs of veterinary treatment related to an accident, illness or injury where the clinical signs or symptoms were first present after the enrollment date and waiting periods, pre-existing conditions are not covered by your plan. As such, we were unable to provide coverage for your recent claims as that condition was pre-existing. Our team has provided more detailed information in their emails to you, including information on our claims appeal process.

Submitted 2 claims online said claim was submitted and no opened claims were showing. Emailed to be asked to submit via the app. Submitted both via the app 1st claim processed right away. 2nd claim doesn’t even show it is being reviewed just shows received.

Embrace has been wonderful for us
We have had Embrace for several years on our 10 year old Bichon and on our 5 year old Bichon. Have always been pleased with their service, their promptness of reimbursement and the assurance our fur babies are covered. Just a couple days ago, phone lines were very long. Hopefully that will be addressed.

My son's Scottish terrier swallowed a…
My son's Scottish terrier swallowed a grape while we were dog sitting. This dog is covered by Trupanion with a $200 deductible. We understand that regular yearly examinations are not covered. As this was an emergency situation, given the very high toxicity of grapes and possible fatal outcomes, imagine our surprise whenTrupanion would not cover the cost of the EMERGENCY examination. They refused and all that we recovered from the vet bill of $521 was $58. Given the monthly premiums my son has already paid he is now in the hole. Insurance is meant for emergency situations which this was. When my son returns home, he will cancel his enrolment with them.
