Pet’s Best…changing prices and not communicating
After being a customer of Pet’s Best for a while, I received my first reimbursement check last week. A few days after receiving my check, I got a notification in the mail alerting me that my rates are going up about $20 per month. It states that it is not due to any recent activity, just rising costs. I sent an application for a different dog with my wife’s email. I put all of the same information for my dog. I was quoted the rate that I am currently paying, nit the rate that is $20 more. Seems a little fishy to me. I called to question this rate increase and was told that they would pass along my concerns to a supervisor who would email me. It’s almost a week later and I haven’t received any email yet. Not too impressed so far.

They Deserve To Be Sued For False Advertising
I could write a soliloquy on the hoops I’ve had to jump through with this company. Quite honestly, if you can afford to pay for this monthly premium, you can afford to pay out of pocket for any care a healthy animal would receive. It would be far less expensive and void of the headache of dealing with them. You’re required to submit certain documents in order to even get the insurance, including a full medical history, plus a new physical exam for your pet in order to secure the insurance. So why they need all of this information submitted with every single claim is beyond me! It is a hassle to you and to the vet because they literally have it all on file. But why do they do it; to delay, delay, delay and ultimately to place on hold or deny any illness claims you submit. When asked where are the documents, you’ll never receive a response. It’s never a hassle for them to take your money, but always one when it’s time for them to pay up. I’d never recommend them for illness coverage. You’ll be paying them and the medical bills, when you can just pay the medical bills, because you’ll never see a dime back from them. The wellness prevention package is worth it because it’s basically like a loan of your money upfront. But guess what; that’s an add on service so you can’t purchase it without the illness coverage. This company deserves to be sued because they are in no way fulfilling their duties and are misleading their services to get your money. Don’t waste your time or energy. You’ll regret it. I certainly did. And so does my dead cat.

Pack your patients …
Seems filing claims are taking much much longer than previous or expected. Coverage is expensive and contemplating if this insurance is a good fit. I get emails weeks after claim should be taken care of saying sorry for the delay. I filed a claim June 13th and now it’s July 17. Still waiting.
