Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is the…
Healthy Paws Pet Insurance is the best!! My dog recently had a very rare diagnosis, which required extensive testing to identify. Healthy Paws was very responsive and willing to work with my veterinarian as we worked through this problem. I am happy to report that Ghillie is now receiving the medication he needs, and is doing great!

I was given all the information…help
I was given all the information necessary to make a decision. My problem is that Fetch sent me renewal notice for my insurance at a certain rate and then went ahead and increased by more than $20. A month without even notifying me of the change. Otherwise..... good company and good help from the operator.

It is expensive and TRUPANION doesn't cover basic procedures such as the VET EXAMINATIONS!
It's expensive and there are many basic things that this insurance doesn't cover, for example, the VET EXAMINATION! I pay a monthly fee of $150 for two cats, (NOT SENIOR). One of them had to have surgery because a "foreign object" was discovered in his small intestine. IT WAS AN EMERGENCY, but they don't cover that assessment. I understand that there is a deductible of $300, so... You think about it. Is it worth it to pay expensive insurance for then discover that you have to pay for such an important-basic-NECESSARY procedure from your own pocket???? No, it is not worth it.

Yet Another Rate Increase !
Yet another rate increase with no change in coverage. Worthwhile, that is the question with increases follows: 2021 $109/yr 2022 $129/yr and then in 2023 $150/yr!!! That's a whopping $41 increase in 2 years …??? Being retired & on a fixed income , I am forced to seriously consider cancelling policy in favour of automatic savings account or other household savings. It should be noted that Increases over time are expected but ...those in line with inflation would be more palatable hence the mediocre rating. Otherwise, Trupanion meets contractual obligations of processing & coverage in timely manner.

Fair Claim Processing
Whenever I submit a claim, I know that it will be processed fairly and I won’t have to push back on the outcome. Our dog just had to undergo a fairly expensive surgery after he ingested a foreign object, and it’s really comforting that we can be confident insurance will cover what we expect it to.

Healthy Paws Cannot Be Beat!
I LOVE Healthy Paws! Ghillie is the second dog we have insured through Healthy Paws, and we could not be happier. I strongly advise everyone to have the peace of mind they will have that they will always be able to afford the care their dog needs. Healthy Paws is straight forward and honorable. They have no hidden surprises or holes in your coverage. They respond immediately, and they are always fair.

Clam processing taking much longer
I have had good experiences with this insurance company up until now. My dog recently had an intestinal blockage that needed surgery to remove. It’s coming up on a month since I filed the claim and all I have gotten is a sorry for the delay letter. When you call, it’s like they are reading from a script, they just keep repeating it takes 15 to 45 days to process claims and more complex claims take more time. I take that to mean the more we have to pay out the more time it takes. They need to keep their clients better informed throughout the claim process of any delays and why they are happening. Very disappointing this time.
