So far, satisfied.
I like the short waiting period to get a response and approval of claims. However, I also find their insurance premium a bit pricey. I'm tempted sometimes to check alternatives.

I attempted twice to do a chat with a…
I attempted twice to do a chat with a Vet. When you log in it lets you know your anticipated wait time. It also says they will notify you when it's your turn. That being said, the first time I started a chat, I had a 3 min wait. I waited and stayed in the app. A vet came on we sent a couple of messages, but then she stopped messaging. I never gotcan answer to my question. So I ended the chat and tried to log on again. This time it was a 30 min. wait. I opted to wait for notification when it was my turn. I was never notified. My question was is there anything otc I can use for a red rash under my pups chin. I was only looking for a yes or no, and if yes what. If it was a no, take her to the vet.

Paid a month of coverage to not receive coverage
I paid for the first month and the set up fee when my FOUR MONTH OLD puppy got horribly sick and i had to take her to the vet. I paid for a month that i cant use or get any help with. If anything happens within that time you are essentially screwed because who has that much money just sitting in their wallet. I needed help. I hope Trupanion was that help. Instead im told that i get no help nor reimbursement for ANYTHING that happens within the first month (the waiting period as they called it) so what did I pay for? Just to not be able to use it until the next billing cycle rolls around? Pet parents love their animals and unfortunately things out of our control happens. Trupanion is expecting us to plan for the unexpected at least 30 days in advance.
