Coverage and cost.
the service was good and the vet could always submit and we pay only for what is not covered. I would have given it a 5 star but what i noticed that when my dog developed allergy after about 1 year, the examination cost is not covered. the examination cost is still covered again when my dog went to emergency clinic when she got sick on the weekend. Wish they cover the examination fees in general as without it, what my experience is that we only got about at most 50% of the expenses covered. I heard from my pet owner friends that their pet insurance has much better coverage (include annual , dental and examination fees ?) for lower premiums. Not sure if it is true but will have to do research. The other concern that prevents me from giving a 5 star (as they do have great services/support) is that in 2.5 years the cost increased by more than 21% which is much higher than inflation. I am concerned about future increases. I do understand that the company has to review the current expenses to ensure the company can provide good support for pets , but is still worried that there may be big increases in the future as my 2 year old dog ages. btw , i had insurance for my dog since she was 2 months old. So far i have to say I am happy with the trupanion.

We are satisfied with Pumpkin services they stay true to the policy, the do what they promised they will do. So far we have no problems or issues with them, they gave us a peace of mind, that if any of our dogs got suddenly sick, they will be there for us and for our dogs

Spot insurance company lies and commits fraud
These people file claims fraudulently and make up lies as they go to suit their agenda. I'm sure they will not reply to my many emailed attempts to discuss this but they will comment to this review bc all they care about is optics, not if your pet lives or dies. Also as another review stated, their phone lines are a scam and every call gets dropped.

Just dealing with a stubborn app. They denied all my pet claims without any call. Just app-blocked. They could reach out to my vet to get my invoices approved but they would rather deny my claim.
