Left after 3 years due to no coverage and climbing rates
I had MetLife for 3 years. I got my policy when my dog was 1 year old. She is a boston terrior. Just about any time I tried to claim anything it was considered a "pre-existing condition". Not only did they NOT help me with medical coverage my rates went up every year with no help from them. Complete waste of money and time. I will say Customer service reps are great. It is the claims process that tanks the whole company.

Overall a decent experience
Overall a decent experience. After 1 year they doubled my premium and never told me about it. Not happy about that. And my coverage is supposed to be all inclusive with exception of preexisting conditions, which my dogs didn’t have. They don’t always reimburse for things. Its good to have insurance in the chance something happens so I pay the premium and go on about my way. As far as whether there are better companies, I’m not sure. They did reimburse on my recent visit so that’s a plus.

Website issues & App Crashes
Website issues & App constantly crashing and "dog is off leash" Website crashed and I could not submit a claim. I have tried emailing, twice now, an invoice to be as a claim and no one has got back to me. Now my new insurance term starts today and no one processed my claim.

We are beyond grateful for Healthy Paws and the peace of mind they’ve given us with both of our dogs, Mercy & Merlin. Recently, Mercy had to spend several nights in the hospital battling a severe urinary tract infection that had spread to her bladder and kidneys. It was terrifying emotionally, and without pet insurance, it would have been incredibly difficult financially as well. Healthy Paws truly came through for us. Not only did they help cover the costs when we needed it most, but their claims process was fast, easy, and stress-free during an already overwhelming time. The reimbursement hit our account through direct deposit surprisingly quickly, which made such a huge difference. Healthy Paws is awesome
Healthy Paws is awesome! I’ve had it for my 12 year old dog Mason since he was a puppy and it’s helped me out multiple times over his life but especially from the moment he was diagnosed with cushings disease. Having Healthy Paws gives me the peace of mind that whatever happens to Mason, I know I have great quality insurance for him and won’t have to make tough financial decisions. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY! They deny everything they don't keep up on individual state laws, they will deny e3in hopes that you won't fight them. They denied claims that were done by a Vet Tech at CAN NOT work without being under the supervision of a veterinarian. And what did Pest Worst do, denied, so now you to appeal which is total BS. I hate this company with a passion!!!
