I have been reluctant to write a…
I have been reluctant to write a review, but feel that I need to let other pet parents know about my consistent experiences. I am beyond frustrated. The biggest frustration is that what ASPCA states that they will claim is often denied. One example (of many), an RX food used to treat a medical condition (not a general maintenance) is CLEARLY laid out in my plan, but is denied when I submit. Today I’m told that it needs to be an RX medication food- even though that is nowhere in the policy. My internal medicine vet wrote a long letter explaining how this is a specific treatment, and it is still denied. It is a constant struggle to have ASPCA cover what is clearly listed in the policy, and when you submit an appeal, it further delays ALL processing. The normal processing times exceed a month when there are no extenuating circumstances. I get frequent standard emails apologizing for the long delays, with ASPCA acknowledging the severe delays. I just called about claims and the customer service rep was adamant they process claims in 7-10 business days, essentially telling me that he knew better about processing times instead of my actual experience and the acknowledgement from ASPCA via email apology. The the past few months, every time I call I’m given a different answer to the same question. This is beyond frustrating and I am considering canceling my plan so I can give my dog the best care without the hassle and frustration every month. I hope other pet parents seriously consider these experiences.

After 20 years of good service the ASPCA has started harassing and delaying, in order to deny legitimate claims. The Hartford Group is reviewing claims and helping the ASPCA to deny claims. Dont buy this insurance or you will be bamboozled.

I went with Embrace Pet Insurance…
I went with Embrace Pet Insurance because they had one of the best premiums and coverage. However, it is a different story when you try to put in a claim. For one, they were supposed to be done with the pet history search but they never did. So all my claims were on hold. If they cannot finish the pet history search, what can I do? This company was a waste of time and money. I got nothing back from them and was glad to switch to a less-hassle pet insurance company. Update and reply to Embrace Pet Insurance: How long does it take to complete the pet history report? I was with Embrace Pet Insurance for almost one year. All my claims are still on hold. Unacceptable level of service.

My puppy chewed on a Sago Palm seed…
My puppy chewed on a Sago Palm seed which could of been fatal. I rushed her to the ER and the induced vomiting and gave fluids and Charcoal. She had to go back for three blood test to make sure Kidneys were good. I did worry to much about the all of this because I knew I had Embrace and they would stand behind a poisoning like this. And sure enough with in a week I had money in my account for their portion of it which helped pay off the CC I had to put the charges on. This was the first time I had to use them and all I can say is I am so glad I got Embrace Ins. when my pup was only 10 weeks old. Thank you Embrace for making a very stressful time a little less stressful.

Big Scam - Don’t Buy
My daughter has their insurance and filed a claim for a simple dog injury that required gluing and meds. They have asked for an incredible amount of documentation and months later still have not paid a $300 claim. Big scam!!!! Don’t purchase this insurance.
