Pets Best made the claim process very…

Pets Best made the claim process very easy. The company paid the claim just as the coverage allowed. My only complaint was that the processing time from the time the claim was submitted until payment was extended.

As an Emergency Veterinarian

As an emergency Veterinarian, I knew a little about what I should expect, but here are the things I noticed: 1. The representative was nice and helpful. 2. The plans are the best for healthy, older dogs. 3. However, one of my dogs is a mixed breed and one is a pitbull and because of this, although they are near the same age, my pitbull’s cost was roughly TWICE that of my mixed breed. I asked about this and was told that it was because a pitbull is a PURE BRED DOG so basically heterozygous vigor is not a thing for them. That is so incorrect as they only became a recognized breed a while ago by their own groups and they are a widely diverse group of dogs. The AKC STILL doesn’t recognize them as a breed. I wouldn’t have classified my dog as a “pitbull” at all because this is often used against her for different reasons, except the DNA test she had done categorized her as this and it is all over her medical records. My confusion is in what criteria is used to call a dog “purebred”, because to me, it is ridiculous that a pitbull could fall into this category.

Met life pet

This is an excellent policy! The claims are easy to process and the money deposited promptly! Make sure to get the routine pet insurance in addition to emergency! It really is helpful- especially while they are young! Great program

Awesome Insurance

I sent several email messages to which I never got a response, so that was frustrating. However, it really only took about two weeks for the fair reimbursement from this insurance. I will NEVER drop this insurance, and I totally recommend it to EVERYONE!

Love it for the most part

For the most part, I really love this insurance. Last year one of my babies developed epilepsy and it helped tremendously. This year, the same one ate something he shouldn’t have and had to have it surgically removed. The vet bill was nearly $12k after three days of figuring out what was wrong and having the emergency surgery. It completely wiped out his insurance funds until next July. I pray everyday that nothing else happens to him before his insurance rolls over to a new year. I pay the highest premium for preventative care, the most amount of coverage, the highest return percentage, and the smallest deductible. The highest amount of insurance caps at $7k and that truly could be wiped out by one emergency like this one and then leave him not covered for the next 10 months.
