First time I've ever had pet insurance and was very leery about it. I read reviews on several companies before choosing Spot. So far, I have had a very positive experience and feel a sense of relief knowing that if an unexpected pet emergency was to occur, I have insurance. The response on any of the claims I have submitted has been very prompt and I was not met with denials or having to battle it out as I was so worried about. Good job, Spot!

We recently had our first claims with spot and I was so scared they were going to deny them for some like fine print as human insurance isn’t always the best to deal with. The claims were easy to submit and we got our reimbursement quickly and our pup is ok too which is most important!

Timely and Perfect Claims Payment
This is the second Golden I have covered with TruPanion. In the 12 years I've had this insurance, they have never lost a claim, never failed to explain well anything not covered, and paid my claims quickly and accurately. I love that I can either send a photo of my claim or upload it or fax it to them. With my first Golden, I was assigned a single individual who handled all of my claims. When my pup passed away, I received a hand-written, very kind and compassionate card from my claims examiner. I recommend TruPanion to all pet Moms and Dads.

*As soon as you can* make sure to cancel any involvement with this company if you see you don't need it, aren't using it, and are paying a steep price every month for the plans they put you on; better yet do not sign up with them at all. we lost thousands of dollars to this company. absolute zero/0 customer service; lies, no resolution. They also leave out important financial information which is another form of dishonesty. they took advantage of my accounts, continuing to charge me, and put my happy furry household in difficulty. even if you do need pet health insurance look at other companies, and don't use this corporation because you didn't invest in due diligence. we spent hours on the phone with them only to get a run around, every time. stay away from Trupanion! they cannot be trusted with any consumer confidence due to no resolution, communication, caring or transparency. they use scare tactics to keep you in tow, not cancel or change your plan. just because it's for pets/loved ones doesn't mean it's an insurance company one can trust, because none of them are a warm fuzzy. this company also will do whatever they can to not give a full refund but again, they lie, at every turn. if your veterinary doctor recommends this company do your research first and don't automatically jump because they recommend doing so with Trupanion. they will literally lie into your ear then continue to try to charge your accounts, while ducking responsibility, ghosting, and refusing to make things right. beware.

Peace of Mind for Pet Owners
After a very expensive pet emergency we decided to look into pet health insurance. A lot of people said that the companies were difficult to deal with and that they very rarely reimbursed you, but that has not been our experience with SPOT. We have had a wonderful experience and enjoy the peace of mind that having pet insurance brings. I also love that there is a mobile app to submit claims and they make it super easy.
