Great experience with Nationwide pet…

Great experience with Nationwide pet insurance. Today, I had to call and cancel a policy for my cat that recently passed away, I spoke with Carl and he walked me through step by step and made sure everything was done correctly. He was also extremely sincere and caring about the loss of my kitty. It was very appreciated during such a sad time. Thank you Carl and Nationwide! -Christy

I feel relieved

I feel relieved knowing that my pets are covered. They are as much a part of my family as any other relative. Applying for reimbursement was easy and painless. However, I did ask that the covered expenditures be Direct Deposited but instead was sent by checks. Not a game changer at all. Just a surprise. Well worth having

Absolutely not worth it

We will be canceling our insurance very soon. What Figo “covers” is almost a joke. We pay over $100 per month for our two dogs. They covered only $90 of their routine, annual visit (which cost us almost $1000) despite us paying for the advanced wellness plan. Their limits are insanely low - $45 for exams, something similar for teeth cleanings. How does that help at all? Teeth cleanings in our area range from $600-$1500 for a single dog. Oh, and they’re relentless about “pre-existing conditions.” They denied our recent visit to the vet, where we found out our dog has gingivitis, because there were notes in older visits about her having plaque. We’re better off just putting the money we’re throwing away on this insurance into a savings account to pay for these things ourselves.

We loved Healthy Paws for years...not anymore

We loved Healthy Paws for years, but the last two rounds of premium increases have been absolutely unreasonable (over 150% increase each year!). I've tried everything to get someone to talk me through my options. I've been willing to compromise on our coverage levels, but every little change I make (even when reducing coverage) increases our premiums even more! I was promised a local manager for my region would call me on a specific day and time, and they never did. It's been two months and I never heard from them. I've spent hours on the phone trying to stay a customer, and I've gotten zero help or support. Healthy Paws used to be the most affordable for us. Now, they are the most expensive. They'll be losing us as a customer.

The concept in this current social mode…

The concept in this current social mode of medical markets is interesting but self serving for the industry. The waiting period is cruel to the animals in this current social situation as most people do not have the cash which os why they are chising insurance. My dog has a painful injury and we wait while ASPCA pockets money. Certainly you could come up with a fait middle option that would aid treatment and consider the owners.

I submitted docs for the first time and I found it very easy and the communication excellent. I even added some old claims in my submission and those were covered too.

Bad experience

Try to buy an auto and home policy, ended up with only a home policy And no way to complete the auto policy. Now I have to spend money to cancel the home Policy. No way to talk to a human who can Fix this
