As the result of my September 13 post, Trupanion did finally respond to my complaint and refunded the second deductible. In the future with another pet, I would opt for a plan with a yearly deductible rather than per condition, as there is too much conflict of interest and room for misinterpretation with this plan.

good for 2 years, then watch out.
For the first few years, we were really happy. rate was reasonable, good service. but the rates started CLIMBING. What started as a 67$/mo policy has turned into $455/mo (no that's not a typo). Up 250% since last year. It's obvious that they are trying to push us out now that my dog is aging (he is now 6). How can they rationalize that?!

It save her life and mine
I had never used the insurance and had first obtained it 8 years earlier. I almost dropped it as the premium was rising. But she was diagnosed with Lymphoma earlier this year and the insurance made it possible for me to afford chemo therapy treatment. She is alive today because of this insurance.
