Healthy Paws insurance is great
I really like Healthy Paws insurance. It is very easy to submit a claim and they are quick to respond and reimburse. Communication has been very good when I’ve had questions. I really like that there are no per year or per incident caps!

Best decision I made this year!
I've been using this service for about a year and it has been very well worth the money! The kittens we adopted had recurrent respiratory infections and though they are now under control, I would say the insurance paid for itself! The app is VERY easy to use as far as set up, submitting invoices and receiving the reimbursement payments (which always arrived promptly). Being able to text a vet with additional questions or to get advice is a WONDERFUL feature, and the piece of mind that comes with knowing that I will actually be able to afford what they need to stay healthy is unequivocally the BEST part of having insurance. It has eliminated the most stressful aspect of owning a pet. Thanks a million!

Excellent coverage and customer service
I have had our dog's policy for several years, but never needed to use it and therefore had forgotten just how much was covered. The coverage is really impressive under the My Pet Protection plan. Today, I called with questions about claims I will need to file for a recent diagnosis of a chronic condition, and the rep was so incredibly helpful and empathetic. Note: I had to file a claim for our other dog a few years ago, and everything went smoothly for that as well.

For anyone looking for Pet Insurance.
For anyone looking for pet insurance, please make sure they tell you what is covered and not covered from the beginning, check what your pet's pre existing conditions are and what is NOT covered based on that. I enrolled with embrace hoping to have some peace of mind in case my cat ever needed veterinary care, they did a vet history check where they get your pet's records and determine what's covered and if there are any pre-existing conditions that won't be covered. At the time of enrollment I did not receive notice of conditions that would not be covered. I paid for my cat's Accident & Illness policy for basically a year. She got sick about a month ago (lethargic, vomit, diarrhea) I took her to the vet and she got treated for those symptoms with antibiotics, anti-inflammatories along with an x-ray that showed a possible soft tissue mass in her abdomen. When I submitted the claim, they said they had to do another Vet history check and this second time they stated that treatment for any mass including cancer would not be covered because my cat had a mass in her ear years ago according to her vet history. I wonder if they did not communicate this to me with the first history check so that I would keep the policy and then they could deny whatever treatment once a claim is submitted under the pretext of a 'second history check is needed'. So I had to cover the $730 bill out of pocket on top of paying for all the insurance premiums for a year which were an absolute waste of money. I cancelled the policy because any treatment moving forward would be linked to that and not covered obviously. Fast forward, I've taken my cat to the vet once again, and they stated that what looked like a mass is instead an enlarged kidney and she has an infection, we still need more testing to determine the exact cause. The bill is at $1500 right now but that number keeps growing, I will do anything for my cat but I'd be lying if I said these events don't affect you big time financially. My recommendation if you're searching for insurance: Get everything in writing from the start, what's covered and what's not, read the fine print and ask for clarification on anything you don't understand and lastly but the most important piece of advise, BUILD AN EMERGENCY FUND for your pet, save what you can while they're healthy to cover vet expenses when they're not. Insurances in general will use anything and everything they can to not pay and not do their part, I've lived it with my own health insurance and with my cat's.
