Happy Healthy Paws Customer - 6 Years & Counting
I have been a very happy Healthy Paws customer since 2018, about 6 months after I got my Boxer puppy, who is now almost 6 years old. I did a lot of research before getting a dog on the pros and cons of pet insurance and everyone had strong opinions on the matter. Some felt it was a scam and you should just "budget for vet bills" when getting a dog. This would be ideal for all of us, but sometimes unexpected things happen, no matter how much you plan and budget. Others simply don't have the resources to pay for thousands of dollars in vet bills. Some felt pet insurance was a great idea as it provided critical support for their pet's health needs. I initially decided to wait, and after 6 months of "puppy things" that brought me to the vet on several occasions, I decided to purchase pet insurance. I did a lot of digging and came across Healthy Paws. I was drawn to them for a few reasons: they had great reviews on their customer service and there were various choices for pet owners, including annual deductible amounts and reimbursement rates (70-90%). Up until very recently, my dog has been fairly healthy with a few minor things/medications, etc. I have never had any issues being reimbursed at the 80% rate I selected. The claims process is SO simple and I generally receive funds in my account within 48-72 hours of filing. Most recently, my dog has had several vet visits and procedures to rule out bladder cancer. It was terrifying, however, knowing I had Healthy Paws made it SO much easier to handle. I was able to get all the testing and procedures needed to get an official diagnosis that was NOT CANCER (!!!) And I received reimbursement for all of it. Getting pet insurance with Healthy Paws was one of the best decisions I have made in my dog mom life and I am so grateful to the Healthy Paws family for all they have done.

So easy!

Extremely Helpful and Friendly
I've (thankfully) never had to file a claim for my dog, but Trupanion always makes me feel secure knowing they're there just in case. I've called them multiple times for other reasons, including just basic questions about my policy, and they've always been extremely helpful and cheerful and kind. They're available 24/7, which is incredibly helpful and impressive. I highly recommend, even though, again, I've never dealt with a claim. I have full confidence that if I ever had to, though, that they would provide a helpful and friendly experience.

We have been very grateful to have Spot insurance this year! We have insurance on our 1 year old lab and 7 year old mix. The lab more than met his deductible this year so we are thankful for the support from Spot! Submitting a claim is super easy. I always provide as much detail as possible to keep the process quick and easy. Another benefit of using Spot is access to 24/7 virtual Vet. We’ve called in several times for non urgent issues to see what the best course of action might be. This saves a vet visit and helps provide relatively quick support!
