Peace of mind during a really challenging time
Over the last four months both of my dogs have gone through some horrible luck landing both of them in the ER and hospitalized several times for different conditions. Pets Best has been a lifesaver knowing that I can rely on the reimbursement of all of these claims. Most claims are reimbursed quite timely, but all have eventually been resolved and have a clear explanation of benefits. The phone support has also been helpful when there was some questions about claims.

I honestly can’t say enough great things about Pets Best! Getting pet insurance for our pup has definitely been a great decision for us. I wish they coved rx food, but other than that we have been extremely happy!

Very disappointed
The review process took much longer than promised. Ultimately, I was turned down for any reimbursement for various reasons. At the same time, I just received a renewal notice with a 30% increase in premiums. Very disappointed with insurance coverage right now. Will most likely shop around at this point in time.

I submit my claim and I get an answer back fast, I don’t have to call or email repeatedly to get an answer, I appreciate the customer service, if that goes away I also will go away, Figo is not the only game in town but it is the best one for me, keep the standard high don’t be tempted to cut corners with us and we will stay and Figo can be that standard that other companies will follow, thank you

Horrible! Crooks!
Don’t walk away from this company, RUN! Used to be easy and great now it’s like dealing with a horrific HMO. I’ve used trupanion for 10 years and now that my dog is 13 and I really need the insurance they are simply not there for me after raising my premiums almost 500% over the years. 1. Last year my dog was dizzy, falling down and not eating. I had to bring her to the vet a few times and run some tests until my vet properly diagnosed it as a severe inner ear infection. Trupanion denied all my claims due to “Pre-existing condition”. Her only pre-existing condition was she had a skin rash in the shelter as a puppy. They said that the ear infection was an allergy that is tied to the rash. EVEN THOUGH IT WAS SUCCESSFULLY TREATED WITH ANTIBIOTICS!!!! After many hours of calls and appeals I gave up! 2. My dog has a thyroid condition which requires blood testing once a year to adjust her medication. It has been covered for the past 10 years. Now they are denying claims stating “We need more information”. What more information do they need after 10 years. Again denials, phone calls back and forth with Trupanion and my vet. Asking vet for more and more info. And now putting me through their useless appeals process. Unbelievable!!! I’m stuck with them because my dog is a senior now. I would give 0 stars if I could!
