The best dog insurance
I just love my pet insurance, it covers everything I need being a dog owner with no problems.
Makes you wish you never got pet insurance in the first place.
You cannot resolve anything when calling because there are no licensed insurance brokers to speak with. It takes months to get a response and an eventual denial of service because they fail to acknowledge the veterinary doctors files in there emails. Dragging out the process that you wish you never had insurance in the first place.
When my beautiful, healthy, four year-old labrador started twitching and vomiting and gagging we had no idea what could be causing it. We also noticed her pupils were not reacting to light. My vet referred us to a Veterinary neurology specialist. It took two MRIs and a spinal puncture to diagnose Maya’s life-threatening illness. We were very lucky to get a diagnosis because most dogs with her condition are critical or dead before they are diagnosed. Trupanion paid a great part of the expenses, making us able to save her life. She is alive and doing well and we are grateful.
We had a great experience with our first claim with Lemonade. We switched to Lemonade last spring due to their having just one annual deductible and covering standard care like vet visits and vaccinations, which our previous insurance did not offer.
In this instance, our dog got very sick and had to spend a night in the emergency hospital. She had to have a lot of testing done and the vet bill was very high. Lemonade was super responsive and seemed like they truly cared. They are very thorough, so be sure to have all relevant documents read to go when you are making the claim. They covered the full amount of our dogs policy less the co-insurance and deductible. Easy process!
I have five dogs and we all know emergencies can happen at any time, with 24 PetWatch I have peace of mind that I can offer them the best care. Bella is a 14 year old Pomeranian with diabetes, high blood pressure, and a breathing problem. I seriously believe that she would not have made it this far without 24PetWatch. Recently, she had a gallbladder issue and her glucose went dangerously low. I was able to take her to the ER and have gallbladder surgery and have my spunky dog back. I submitted my invoice and received the 80% back within a week. Their customer service is also very helpful and extremely friendly. All around great company and I am always recommending them to all my pet parents. Thank you 24PetWatch for allowing me to save my baby Bella and hopefully have her for a few more years!
I submitted a claim for my 6 month puppy and it took them over 2 months not 2 weeks like they state to get a rejection on my claim. They claimed my claim was pre existing….seriously my dog was 6 months old and had her first heat cycle which caused an irritating rash on her belly and they claimed it was pre existing and denied the $300 claim. I told them I wanted to appeal it and after 2 months after filing the appeal of Lemonade doing nothing they decided to close the claim. Now I was paying $92.59 a month for this insurance that claimed to pay claims in 2 weeks and they couldn’t pay a claim in 4 months. At $92.59/month for 12 months for 10 years the average life span for my dog, this insurance was going to cost me well over $11,1000 in my dogs lifetime. By Lemonade not doing their job and denying my claim it cost them $11,100 and saved me $11,100. I can put $92.59/month in a compound interest account and make more money than I was going to spend on Lemonade insurance. Not good business Lemonade. Denying a $300 claim cost you $11,100 in future revenue. Do the math.
When I put in my first claim for our dog's leg accident; the process went swiftly and with no issues and no delays. This last and current time; the same. I've never dealt with such an easy company. Once I submit my papers and information required for a claim; it's fast and trustworthy all the way through until I get the email, saying "It's done".
I haven’t had to use my policy very often, fortunately, but both times I did were life-threatening situations for my dog. Trupanion was outstanding. They do exactly what they say they will: coverage is fair, their customer service is exemplary & they settle claims quickly and easily. So glad I chose them.
