Their email and chat options are definitely working. It is hard to believe such a big insurance company has poor customer service and no upper management is paying attention to this. Does that consider an insurance fraud? It does take a long time for them to process your claims to compare with other pet insurance companies. I guess if you want a better service, you just need to pay more for it.

Response Times and Coverage NOT Good
The response times for Pets Best are horrible. You won't hear back for 2-3 months but you'll receive multiple emails that "they're still on it." Only to wait for them to say your insurance does not cover the "routine care" that is actually NOT routine.

I receive all these email from you that remind me of cold calls, like help us find more customers and get a reward! I have been with you for a long time and only called twice when I needed your help with the vets invoice and only received, well to be honest hardly anything. What I do receive from you is lots and lots of emails telling me how I could help you get more customers…. Happy holidays!

No thought for mental health
I guess I should have read details better. But I made a vet appointment within my 30 days to see my vet regarding what I thought may be some anxiety starting in my dog. So now of course nothing is covered related to the anxiety. It appears Trupanion would rather you wait an extra 15 days while your dog suffers more at home instead of just getting started. It seems mental health is not valued in our pets.

Excellent Insurance
Our entire family uses Pets Plus Us premium plan. Sadly my 11 year old pup required extensive surgery this year. While the best outcome is her continued recovery it’s also peace of mind that we have a great insurance plan and we have never had a bad experience. Nothing but positive praise.
Lots of paperwork
Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter. Communicate with the vet and ask for what you need.

I had been with Embrace almost 6 years
I had been with Embrace almost 6 years, but orthopedic changes to policy with no claims ever and things they said they would do they didn't, I felt bad about my pet insurance, even scared that it would not cover my pet. ASPCA seems to be a good company and the lady was knowledgeable about my issues I was having. I feel as though I have a good policy now. My pet is like a child to me. I am a disabled veteran and she is worth everything to me. I can't sleep at night if she is not covered. I am sleeping now, thank you!!!

Spot was the right choice for us
It was so stressful trying to choose what pet insurance would be best for Willow, but I’m so glad that I chose Spot so far. They quickly processed her claim and I appreciate how customizable the plans are. Only complaint is the number of advertising emails I receive from Spot. Looking forward to partnering with Spot!
