Not impressed by the timeline of events
I utilize the app and uploaded the after care notes, vet records and payment details within the same day and I am STILL waiting for my reimbursement after a month. Called twice to get a status update and even though the customer service was friendly, they only kept to the script without giving further details. My Vet was readily available to call the insurance company on behalf of us to try to help but customer service still said that it was their processing team that was behind schedule. I’m not impressed by the timeline and the additional funds they removed from the total amount I should receive back.

They got me through a tough holiday season when my dog had to have neutering AND had to go to the ER vet suddenly a week later! I was refunded within only a week of each submission! Thank you so much Spot!

Make Sure to Keep Multiple Dogs on Different Invoices
Although it seems easy to submit claims, I did have issues with my first submittal to the point I gave up. I have two dogs, both covered and both had same illness together. The invoices were on separate pages & I even spoke with someone twice but Spot could not get passed this and ended up denying the second dog's care. Since then, I have not had both dogs ill at same time so there have been no issues.

Easy to compare options and competitive quotes. Our Vet really sold us on Trupanion as the only company they will work directly with. The rest was create the account and login to confirm everything was complete. The only downside was that we were told about a 30 day free trial that we were never able to apply. The discount codes were never active. Still a good option for us and great piece of mind if our dog gets sick again.
