Terrible Experience with Embrace
Terrible Experience with Embrace - Strongly Advised Against I am writing this review to share my extremely disappointing experience with Embrace. My interaction with them has been characterized by a questionable appeals process, selective use of information, and a blatant disregard for the evidence I provided. One of the major issues I encountered was their appeals process, which seemed designed to be deliberately convoluted and unhelpful. Despite presenting solid evidence disputing their claim of a pre-existing condition in my pet, they continued to ignore the facts. Our initial vet misdiagnosed the condition, and we sought a second opinion that confirmed the error. However, Embrace persistently refused to acknowledge the correct diagnosis. It became evident that the adjusters and underwriters selectively choose certain verbiage to suit their agenda of avoiding claim payouts. During my interactions with them, I was appalled to hear an adjuster suggest that I personally go back to the first vet for more information if I wanted to appeal again. This is not only unprofessional but completely absurd, as it is their responsibility to thoroughly investigate claims. Furthermore, the company relies on policy terms and conditions, specifically #32 regarding pre-existing conditions, to justify their actions. However, it is crucial to note that our vet only officially diagnosed our dog after the policy was purchased. This fact seems conveniently overlooked, highlighting their unwillingness to consider the timeline of events and putting their profit over customer satisfaction. In my pursuit of a fair resolution, I requested the cancellation of my policy. It is clear that Embrace prioritizes financial gain over ethical practices and customer welfare. I echo the sentiments of another reviewer who suggested that the company should employ vet techs. Ironically, one of our adjusters was a former vet tech, and this did not result in a more compassionate or customer-oriented approach. In conclusion, I strongly caution against choosing Embrace for your pet insurance needs. Their unscrupulous tactics, disregard for evidence, and lack of customer-centric values make them an unreliable and unethical choice. I encourage pet owners to explore alternative options with more reputable and ethical pet insurance providers. *edit since they responded*: I am no longer in contact with anyone from their company since I cancelled my policy since they have refused to review the appeal in its entirety. They claim they “ultimately go off medical records” during the claims and appeals process. I will reiterate in my review above that they have disregarded the misdiagnoses as well as the appeal letter from the doctor. Do better.

repeately gave out false information to get account
I called this company several time both prior to signing up and after to confirm coverage, as one of my dogs has a hereditary deformed leg. I was told multiple times that hereditary conditions are covered and that even if it is considered a pre existing condition (when the issue presented, he was examined, no treat given at time, just told that at some point it would likely cause him issues), the issue would be covered as long as the animal had not been seen within 6 months after the start of a policy. I signed up with this company 9 months ago. Now my dog is showing signs of discomfort due to his deformed leg. I called again, explaining everything, and was assured he was covered. I had him seen by his regular vet who referred me to a specialist. The specialist needed a CT Scan to determine the best course of treatment. I submitted my claims, calling each time (3 Claims in all) to confirm that the condition would be covered as it was hereditary and it has been 4 yrs since he was seen for this specific issue. All claims were declined. THIS IS A TERRIBLE COMPANY. They mislead me in every way possible and are obviously only interested in getting as much money as possible from people as they can before they wise up.

Do Not purchase this insurance.
I have (had) coverage for two dogs. I paid the monthly premiums gladly knowing I had coverage for my dogs in case of an accident. Well an accident happened to my puppy. I called Pets Plus Us ahead of time to ask if it would be covered. I get a big vet bill and the claim gets denied. Not acceptable, Everytime I call the business I end up speaking to the same person who sounds like a robot and says the exact same things. DO not buy this crap insurance. I thought if it was endorsed by Costco it should be good. It's not. I hope Costco pulls their backing of this company. I cancelled both policies but I am out a couple years of premiums and now this vet bill. Very mad. Hopefully I can prevent others from having to learn the hard way.

I have nothing but great things to say about Prudent Pet so far. I called and spoke with Rebecca, and she was amazing! She was so insightful, explaining everything in detail about coverage and costs, and she was patient in answering all my questions.

I have had this insurance for my dog for 10 years
I have had this insurance for my dogfor probably 10 years. The price started out ok and had risen to 206.00 per month. It was my fault for not checking but my friends were paying a quarter of this price. It does not include any meds, shots or teeth cleaning. I called and had it lowered but it is still high. At this point, my dog is already at it's breeds max age and afraid to switch. Think next time i am going with Nationwide. They did pay out on a surgery many years ago, but have well made up for it and I could do a few more surgeries and never cover the insurance I have paid. You would think they would cover teeth cleaning once every 4 or 5 years. Nope and if your dog gets a dental disease too bad.
