Best insurance plan for your pet…

I have Trupanion coverage for 2 of my dogs for over 9 years. I have always received prompt service, and all representatives have been very professional and compassionate. Because of the coverage that your opinion offers and stands by the word, not to raise your rates because of the age of the dog or how many claims you’ve had on an animal, it is allowed me to provide care for both my fir babies that wound up each getting a very serious illness. Fiona was allowed an extra three years of life with us having final stages of congestive heart failure because I was able to afford the top notch treatment available because I had this coverage. I am so grateful for that. Jackson, my little boy was 14 and he had pancreatitis a year ago because of that he was in the hospital for a week and also again was very expensive and it hadn’t been for Trupanion. I would not have been able to have the quality of care I did, and he was able to come home a week later. But unfortunately, Jack bound up, becoming a diabetic in a very complicated and complex form where he would’ve had to have a specialist. He would’ve been poked and prodded each week he would’ve been in and out of hospitals, but they learned was he was extremely insolent resistant. Spent a week in the emergency vet hospital. He’s been a week in my vets office, which is an outpatient hospital. We spent three weeks trying to get his blood sugar right before we learned that the only way to succeed was going to be this horrific future treatment plan. Jackson was 14 years old and I love him so much that I wasn’t gonna allow him to have no quality of life and to be feeling sick all the time and then to be poked and prodded anymore so we made the decision. he crossed the rainbow bridge and met with sister Fiona yesterday. If it had not been for the coverage that Trupanion offers, we would not have been able to provide the care that we did give him in the final weeks of his life.. Japan it is one of the only plans that does not change your premium because of the age of your dog so I highly recommend anybody looking for insurance you might be able to get it less while your dog is young, but I promise you it will keep going up as your dog ages. Trupanion does not do that nor do they raise your premium because of claims made I know I’ve had him almost 10 years and I just put my two-year-old terrier mix on the same plan. We will always use Trupanion. .

Just signed up for Trupanion, thanks to my Vet...

Just signed up for Trupanion on the suggestion of my Vet. I decided a very long time ago that if we ever got a puppy, we'd get pet insurance instead of relying on my 0% for 6 months credit card. Honestly, I hope to never have to use Trupanion and just go through life knowing my Dachshund will be safe and happy for a long, long time but, I have had dozens of dogs, cats and exotics. They all get sick, have problems, require immediate medical attention. The last thing I need to do is worry if I can afford to pay for an urgent care visit or not. My pets are family, this policy is way worth it.

Fast and Easy

After some pricey oral surgery for our 8 year old Golden Retriever who fractured a tooth, we filed our 1st significant claim with Healthy Paws. The process was very straight forward. We just uploaded the invoices and the medical report our vet gave us. We were impressed with how fast the claim was handled and reimbursement was received. They even followed up asking how our dog was recovering. We are so thankful we had the insurance with Healthy Paws! After this experience, we would definitely recommend them.

Excellent Response to Our Claim

Our puppy swallowed part of a bully stick which lodged into his esophagus then stomach. He needed an endoscopic procedure to remove it. This was our first claim and we were very happy with MetLife Pets' efficient and timely follow through in reimbursing our costs in accordance with our policy.

Don't expect to be reimbursed.

Paid the highest tier of preventative care so I keep my cat healthy. She went in for her health exam. And Aspca did not reimburse or even list the reason as to why something that was listed was not in fact covered. I'd say don't fall for their manipulation but to each their own.
