Ease of claim & reimbursement

Having been a pet owner before, when I got my new puppy, I knew pet insurance was a must. We researched many companies and ended up with Fetch for their balance of cost and coverage. I'm so thankful we chose Fetch. It has been a super smooth experience, and their customer service is excellent. I'm very thankful to Laura who helped explain our benefits over the phone and ensured we did not have any lingering questions. Best Pet insurance for the money
Best Pet insurance for the money We reviewed several pet ins companies before choosing Spot. They gave us great coverage for both emergencies and office visits . The claim form is easy to fill out and submit. Reimbursement comes quickly and we have it direct deposited. I’ve not had to use customer support so I can’t comment on that but having had it for 2 dogs for over a year - we are thrilled with our choice.

Pleasant surprise!
It's my first time using this health insurance for a pet and I wanted to say I was pleasantly surprised to be receiving a check for 90% reimbursement BEFORE meeting the deductible because I didn't realize vaccines didn't require the deductible to be met before being reimbursed. You guys are great!

We're into our 4th year as Spot clients…
We're into our 4th year as Spot clients for our two Golden Retrievers. We picked Spot for it coverage because they covered (at least at the time) issues specific to the Golden Retriever breed, hip/elbow dysplasia and cancer, without any wait period. While not the least expensive, you get what you pay for. Once you understand that basic pet insurance will not cover the routine visits, but is meant for illness/accident coverage, you'll save yourself a lot of grief. Spot has been great in paying what I felt was covered, and the process for filing a claim over the last few years has improved immensely. It is done on-line, a few clicks, down load the invoice and submit. You can track the status of your claim by logging-in to your account. Been very happy with Spot, premiums went up over the lock down years, but most recent was considerable less than prior year, even with our dogs now 3 and 7 y/o, a very pleasant surprise! Pulling Teeth Withouth the Fun
I adopted my Dogs at the local humane society and they were pushing MetLife Pet insurance with their welcome packet. I knew insurance was a good idea so I got a decent plan and thought I was good. Wrong, filing anything and trying to get a correct "Explanation of Benefits" where they detail how they "honor" your vet charges is like pulling teeth. Had a scare on the first week where one dog decided to eat a leather toy at night and had an ER trip and the filing was awful. I gave the entire adoption history with the vet notes and they denied the claim because I was missing 6 years of medical history on a dog I adopted 2 weeks ago. Not to mention the company is setup so you cant actually contact anyone on the claims team who could simply correct the the fumbled information, you have to contact a dedicated customer service rep. who can email the claims team for you and "contact" you in a week when they hear back or you have to fill out an appeal form that has your vets signature and stamp on it (yes a stamp.) Sure, one time would be bad but its like the claims team is either toddlers or is in India because they cant report the right vet visit dates or read the receipts that say what the vet has or has not prescribed. I think they have fallen to a new level of dysfunction and I'm joining a new company at the end of my plan. PET OWNERS BEWARE 2024.
